Got to the game a bit late on Sunday and there was a chap sat in my seat. He kindly moved (with who i presume was his missus) after I had showed him my season ticket. They only moved over the way, before kick off he came over to me and apologiesd and then he showed me his 1 match ticket which was printed down as my seat!!

Never had this happen to me before, i dont think theres much point in letting the club know as Ive got differant seats for the Wigan game and wont be using that seat again untill the play-offs.

Has anyone else here had anyone sat in their seat before?

Happened to a mate of mine on a few occasions. It appears that they can print tickets off that have already been allocated to season ticket holders!

Maybe they thought you had done a swap? I would mention it to the club shop next time you are in just to be on the safe side

No, we took it in turns. He sat there for this first half whilst i was under that stand then vice versa.

Happened to me on sunday,bought 2 north stand tickets (which total 51 pound) only to be told 2 mins into the game that we were in 2 season ticket holders seats...if there wasn't 2 empty seats over the isle we would have been screwed,it can't be that hard to get right surely?

Id of asked for a seat next to Mr Smith in that case



Tbh because it was near empty i could of just sat anywhere myself, the guy was fine with moving but i felt bad that he had to move through no fault of his own.

It doesn't just happen at Warrington. The people next to me on the Kop on Saturday had to move two minutes before kick off when two season ticket holders turned up with their seats. I saw their tickets and they had those seats printed on them so a steward had to move them somewhere else.

At a Celtic match years ago I had tickets for the same seats that someone else had too. They had been double sold so a steward moved us.

Obviously those two matches were sold out, so I assume a handful of "spare" seats go unsold in case things like that happen, as the stewards at Celtic knew exactly where to move us to.

The ladies who sit behind me in the East stand had a torrid time at the beginning of the season, being asked to move (and refusing) after their seats had been sold on two occasions. They went mad, having had the same seats since the stadium opened. I think I would just cry!

I think the issue is that for most sports arenas, season ticket seats are not BLOCKED they are merely highlighted. It is up to the user to make sure they dont press the highlighted seats. The point made about about seats avaialble across the isle is probably and indication that the user pressed the wrong point on the screen.
