This is following on from the thread about brothers that have played for Warrington, i havn't really thought about this so i'll leave it to those that are an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to us.

The obvious ones are Keith Holden and Keith Holden Jnr and Lee Penny and his son Kevin, i know that Keith Holden Jnr hasn't played for the first team yet so its more about father and sons that have been on the books of Warrington or have played for us.

Brian Bevan and his son John

bobby goulding didn't play for warrington but i remember once when he was playing for salford and he missed an easy penalty in front of the fletcher end, subsequent jeering from the fletch drove bobby a bit mad and i seem to remember he made about 4 head high tackles in a row before finally being penalised

now his son is in the academy set up

Rob and Richie Myler

Scott Turner is playing in the Under 18s and is the son of Rocky Turner

I believe Rob was actually Ritchies step dad but you could always go with Mal Thomas and son Mark.

Keith Holden played for Wire in the 60s. His son, Keith, played for us in the 80s. The Keith Holden on the books now would really be Keith Holden Jr. Jr. Or Keith Holden III, if they were American.

Going back a bit - Billy Cotton and his son I think was also called Billy are a father and son combo. The other son was Fran Cotton who played RU for England and is now a pillar of the Rugby Union establishment.
(I only know this as it is in the Top 100 Warrington players book!)

Paul Cullen and we had his son on our books for a while.

So Kevin Penny is Lee Pennys son. You learn something new every day or maybe you don't.

I think you will find that it was Dave Cotton & his son also Dave. Fran Cotton (Cotton Traders) was at Newton Le Willows Grammar School when I was there in the 60's.

And his youngest is signed upto the u16s Scholorship.

So Fran Cotton should really have been a League player considering that his father and brother both played for Wire. Just learnt something.

Back in the '50's we had a second row Jack Arkwright playing for us, when I say playing he didn't spend a lot of time on the field! My dad used to tell me that Jack's dad aka Big Jack was similar but worse!

Rogues has been talking sh*t for a while to be fair. I remember him saying that Myler had a choice of us and Wigan and was still mulling it over a day before he signed for us. When it had been pretty much common knowledge for the past few months. Still waiting for his 2009 bookmarks.

I don't think people should be taking the micky out of the mentally handicapped to be honest, its an illness so i think people need to be a bit more understanding towards Rogues. He probably just needs the strength of his medication increasing.

Rogues, i'll admit i got it wrong when i thought Lee Penny and Kevin Penny were related, a lot of others would have thought the same though as they both played for Wire and both have the same surname.

Again appologies, i was wrong and you were right. I should have done my research better.

Rob your mental state maybe a concern, but not to me. As for appologies I'll accept them, whatever they are. I understand that English may not be your first language.
