clarke, imho, would do a job for anyone in league except for the most ambitious, decent squad player for even the best and would take bags of experience with him to wids

there are more fashionable hookers starting for teams throughout superleague who don't offer anything more than clarke does

Just a pity, some of the "fans" on the terraces, still wont give him any respect, but hay-ho, that's "fans" for you.

Rarely let us down, put some great MoM performances in for us over the years. Never shirked work. Always backed up, so consequently, knew where the try line was.

During those horrible days of 2007, when we could barely put a side out (THAT was a proper injury crisis, Stains fans), as a senior pro, Clarke was always going to shine amongst youngsters just breaking through. Maybe Cullen was a little foolhardy giving him a 4 year improved contract on the back of it, but that was Cullen's decision, not Clarke's. What was Clarke supposed to do, rip it up and demand a two year deal instead? Clarke was villied (unjustly so) for this, and has had untold stick ever since.

Right then. If the "story" is true, we NEED a replacement.
Higham (for all his efforts) isn't the answer. To me, he's treaded water since he left Stains as Cunningham's understudy. If we insist on spelling Monaghan during games, we need a suitable back-up...FAST.

I'd be tempted to have a go for McGuire/Friend out of that list. Hinchcliffe would be my number 1 target but can't see him leaving the Storm. Ellis might be worth a punt at Quins, he's been decent from what I've seen of him, also Carlile at Huddersfield looks a good young prospect (Played awesome against us in Cardiff).

Yeah I thought I'd heard something about Heremaia couldn't remember why though. To be honest I hadn't heard the L'Estrange extension, good news for Bradford he's a decent player.
Ellis would come quite cheap on the cap I would have thought, he's in his mid 20's I think so you could get some years out of him too. Would be crippling to Quins though if they lost Ellis & Gale this year!
