Really sad to see him to go but what a pleasure to watch him play. He had a difficult start (and I completely wrongly gave up on him) but he turned that around and has been superb. Wish him all the best next season in the NRL.

As others have said...a difficult start..but boy he came good in the end...I knew he would. Class player...class bloke..will be greatly missed.

He has certainly written his name into the history of this club...a key member of a fantastic team. Lets hope he finishes with a couple more winners medals/rings at the end of this season.

I'm feeling a Kingy hat trick at Wembley.

Kingy has been fantastic for Wire and whilst I know we will miss his presence as he said on the wire tele the other week, he has put a lot of development time into the younger guys and they have developed well so I think he has left us in good hands with the likes of Evans, Blythe and dare I say it Riley.

TS will always have something up his sleeve. In Tony we trust

Thanks to Matt for the fantastic service he has given to our club both on and off the field.
It was his tries at Widnes in 2009 that got us to Wembley which was the start of things for us.

The thing I'll miss the most about Matt is his smile. Its very genuine, as is he, and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching him play during his time at the Wire. Good luck Matt to you and your family and I hope you'll come back and see us sometime

In all seriousness. Laughing at Tomkins as he went over at the council house was great.

The saying "form is temporary, class is permanent" could have been written for Matt in his first 18 months or so with us. A classic example of how belief in your own ability and hard work can turn things around.

One of my favourite players of the SL era and he will be missed. If you read these messages Matt, then thanks for some superb memories and all the best to you and your family in Sydney.
