| When are they due to be announced ?
Sometime this month , I can't see Wakey getting one but they offer more than Quimms and Crusaders welded together but there would have to be a massive shift in policy by the RFL for that to happen IMO !

| Rather than the final franchise place being decided by a panel and a scoring system i think the worse 2 applications should play off for a SL licence.
That should draw in a big crowd and create some tension and nerves.

I'm getting quite concerned re Saddened's obsession/hatred of all things Ian Smith
I've got this vision of our St Helens 'friend' in a padded cell with a straight jacket on and shackles round his ankles, with a red crayon in his mouth, scrawling on the padding "Ian Smith" about a thousand times, and muttering "Ian Smith", through clenched teeth (because of said crayon).
We were NEVER this obsessed with Billy Thompson (allthough there was a restraining order against The Flying Biscuit, re Thompson)

| Would like to think we'll be granted one. As to PADDERS post. Do you really think Wakey have a lot more to offer than us ? Since we've moved to Wrexham, our youth development has really took on. Our stadia is very good (should get a B grading on the stadium this time). Yes, our attendances have been relatively poor, but that has been influenced by our poor choice of matchday choice. Take a look at last season. An average of almost 4,700. Fairly good for our first season in Wrexham.

| Nope. Think your game was our second biggest. The Pies game was about 5,100, yours was 4,900. Don't want to be seen as making excuses, but poor matchday choice has really cost us dear this season. Leeds game for example. 8pm on a Friday night. Leeds brought about 500. If it was on a Sunday, you would be looking at more of about 1,000. Plus, Southwalians don't make the journey too. Stupid decision !

Yes I do think they offer more than Crusaders league position never lies !
They bring more fans to the HJ where as Crusaders have a pretty poor away following !
All that said I would opt to boot out Quimms whom have a very poor fan base home or away !

Fair point. Our away following is very poor I do agree. The appetite for Rugby League is very good though. The amount local people are offering to the club is great.

Wouldn't want this to happen for obvious reasons Although you are spot on. There's no analysing, who deserves what in certain area's, its down to what you do on the field. I shouldn't think promotion and relegation will be brought back in for a long time though. Think the RFL's main task is to progress the game of Rugby League throughout England and also the whole of Britain. Therefore, you guys can match Australia. At the moment, we're way behind.

| I am not sure that Wakey bring more fans than the Crusaders....
The Crusaders were certainly more vocal... I Like them....
if Wakey bring more fans its about fifty more and not worth counting when its time for licences to be dished out...

Yes. We are rather vocal actually.
I think if we keep this liscence. We can plan ahead in Wrexham. I think the game of Rugby League will really kick on in Wrexham. There is certainly the appetite and desire here. A lot of good young players coming through too...

| What are the odds of Wakefield AND say Salford/Quins going down with Halifax getting a licence ?
They wont go with 15. An extra team in SuperLeague = 2 extra games. Add to that the fact that RFL have said exile game will get its own weekend means the season will be three weeks longer (plus RFL said in August 2010, one team WILL be replaced by a championship side).

Wouldn't be too sure. Think the RFL said that Fax would come up and another team go down if Fax's liscence was stronger than a second Super League team. In that case, I honestly don't think their liscence will be better than any other Super League, only Wakey.
