Logged on and noticed the other topic labelled "we were robbed" and came to this topic instead.

At the end of the game everybody around me got up and started to walk off. I stood there clapping because I witnessed a great game of RL worthy of any semi-final / final.
That game made me proud to be a fan of RL and i would love to show that game to any Football or RU fan and ask them what they thought of it.

I have not watched the replay yet and might edit this post and join the "we was robbed" thread but that was a great game of RL.

Good on ya and I look forward to the replay. SL at the moment reminds me of the Boxing middleweight division of the mid eighties with so many great contests. Hearns, Leonard, Hagler and Duran all standing toe to toe.

That was value for money entertainment.

Totally agree i haven't felt the excitement at a game like that since our playoff game against Bradford in 07.
Great advert for our game two fully commited and even teams and big hits that put those fairy footballers to shame. Superleague is so even now and Wakefield and the likes have raised their game and i can't see any one team including Leeds running away with it this year. Oh and if you can keep Solomona fit he will be a shrewd signing for you like i think Deacon will be for us.

Always love going to Warrington and tonight showed how good both sides are. After the first half I thought there was only going to be one winner, but I think our defence kept us in the game. Thank god Sam Tomkins can produce magic like that.

your fans behaviour was a credit as well i was in the west stand had a good chat with a couple of your guys the only unfortunate was a right t!t head (so called wire fan) he was there againest quins shouting obsenities at everybody really gettin up my nose in the end his pregnant sister took him home what a plank! all in all a very enjoyable game look foward to the reverse fixture (with a reverse score line) i also applaud you guys coming on here appluading our effort instead of gloating true rugby league fans

I thought the passion, commitment and skill shown by both teams tonight was top drawer.

And as I said on our board, if that game is not the game of the season, then some very lucky fans are going to witness something amazing at some point this year.

I'd love to think that Wigan v Wire could be the line-up for one or both of the CC final and/or GF this year.

We'd gain a lot of support from Rugby League "virgins" IMO, especially if it was the CC Final, on the BBC.

Didn't notice any n0b-heads from either side tonight either.
A hard-but-fair match, watched by 2 good sets of fans (albeit one set marginally happier than the other).

Long may the improvements in both of our teams continue.
(It's amazing what a recent change of coach can do for both of our clubs, eh?)

, I as a neutral felt it was reffed fairly, yes there were mistakes but there always is, Warrington gained about 3x as many penalties as Wigan in the first half and it evened out second half...

Gleeson was supporting Roberts and never even looked at King and I dont even think he knew he was coming... but thats my view as a neutral and Im a Saint so I dont often defend Wigan

I re watched the game last night and it was as even as I thought. The atmosphere made by the fans made it a great spectacle. Didn't think we had brought that many.

yeh great support for both teams. atmosphere was amazing best game for years and the level of commitment from both teams amazing match. well done wigan for playing your art in a fantastic game what couldve only got better if wire won. but it was a good performance by both teams

Thought it was a Bostin Game of Rugby League and i agree that if it was the Grand Final come October then the atmosphere would be superb...Had someone who was watching the game last night who is not a fan of the game but after that she is looking forward to the next game on T,V...Superb Entertainment..
