Just been having a nosey on the castleford board and it seems they are expecting a victory on saturday night. with both teams coming off the back of very good wins it looks set to be an intriguing encounter. will the wolves return to type on saturday or will they be as impressive as they were against the 'quinns.
Warrington have certainly had problems with backing up a big performance in the past but saying that cas are in the same boat. I would like to think we will do it but with warrington you just never know. another consideration is the massive Wigan game the week after, would you take a loss against cas if it meant we were in tip top form and fitness for the wigan match - which is a must win if we are going to be challenging for honours. In any case i cant wait for the game on saturday

why wouldn't they be confident..they have just won away at leeds.

I think both sets of fans are expecting a victory.

Both teams should be confident and focussed on this single match. Wigan have a big match too, versus Hull KR and I epxect they will not even think abvout us until after that match.

However, it's only the second match of the season and no team's season will be over if they lose. Nor will anybody become champions on Saturday night. I did keep thinking on Sunday, "I hope we haven't peaked too early!".

It wouldn't be that much of a surprise.

It might be the best scoreline we get all season but I very much doubt it will be the best performance, I would like to think as the season goes on we will get better, an I think we will it's hard to judge the performance against Quins due to the players they had out and how poor they played but on the other hand you can only beat whats infront of you.

This will be a cracker on Saturday. Both teams like to play good rugby, two big packs and half backs on both sides who can boss any game. Can't wait.

His improvement since TS arrived is astonishing. Sinfield apart there isn't a better LF in the league. Different types of player I know but Ben is top quality.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was NRL bound after that y'know, provided he stays injury free.

His game really came on in that World Cup in Australia, I thought that was the turning point for him career wise, playing big minutes, getting heavily involved for an Ireland side that went will over there. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go back, and take his ruggid, no nonsense approach to their game.

Right now, just enjoy him, he's clearly mad.

I was thinking the same way JWP, but we [size=150could[/size be on the verge of something big at the HJ, if we do as well in the next couple of years as we should do then perhaps Ben might be a one person club like Scully was for Saints and Sinfield is for Leeds.

How we do over the next few years will have a big impact on where Ben plays his Rugby League.

This I don't understand, why so negative;

Before anyone has a pop my next question is a genuine one, I feel that your perception of games and performances are different given your rugby background.......So here goes; Out of all the people who have posted reference Sundays performance and how we will go on the next two Saturdays, how many have played (school doesn't count), how many have coached.

Again, this isn't me saying if you haven't played or coached you can't have an opinion, it is me asking to see from which perspective you're commenting....... plus it gives a clue as to knowledge with relation to tactics, team prep plus an understanding of the performers and what they are contributing also why it doesn't always work etc..............Thanks

Surely going into games in 'top fitness' shouldn't even be thought of right now? The Wigan game will be our third of the season, if we start showing fatigue by our third game, and we're thinking about going easy in our second to be in top shape for our third, we may as well give up now. I think the league is getting stronger, no game should be taken lightly as we'll be punished. Our priority should be beating Cas to try and build some kind of momentum, the Wigan game probably won't even be thought of in the camp at the mo.

I do plenty of coaching currently and I am not easily impressed, but I was on Sunday. The movement off the ball and lines of support were particularly impressive.

it was a good performance against a weak and poor team on that day but we'll see if we can continue this saturday. they shouldn't be thinking about wigan game. how could we get good form into the wigan if we lose against cas?
