I fail to see your point? It's all friendly banter on a forum... It's not as if people haven't been taking the P about warrington's lack of trophies over recent years... so why shouldn't we give a bit back when we finally win something?

The Graham and New Wigan points are valid and i've cringed at some of the junk that has been posted...

But the mocking of Saints i have no problem with after what we've had to put up with from the likes of Saintc and Supreme Sydney to name but two on here....

Wire fans have waited a long time for this and are entitled to have thier moment....

mockings ok mate if its actually your side that beats Saints , but to extract self gratification when someone else dose what clearly your club have failed to do for god knows how long is hypocritical to say the least. if all the players / team are as bad as you lot would have us believe how come we always do you over?

I agree to an extent, but we can mock Saints after the years of sh;yte and trolling we've had on here, and if you want to know why.

I must admit Graham didn't show up that well on Saturday, particularly after he got lined up and slapped in a very heavy tackle.

And if I want to gloat I will because I reckon I have waited long enough and I have earned it.

This is a fans forum isn't it? Banter/ mocking is what fans do with each other. Is it because it's been so long that we have been in a position to do it, you've forgotten how to?

The fact they can't cry 'that's why were champions' is satisfying enough.

If next season we were to finish 2nd in the league, reach the Grand Final and make the Challenge Cup semi final, would we regard this as quite a successful season, or would it be a failure in the light of this year's unrepeatable glories?

We certainly never want to be the 'new Wigan' as their 80s/90s success was based on a devil-take-the hindmost disregard for the sport as a whole and a vew that all other clubs were just 'feeders' for their ambitions - and they went bust twice on the back of it.

I thought the sport as a whole was in healthier state during the days when Wigan dominated. The international game was certainly more popular. They set a new benchmark of professionalism which led to the move towards Super League.

Warrington seem to now be taking the view that clubs like Wakefield and Salford exist so that they can produce young players for us to come and throw money around that they can't keep up with. Long may it continue.

to be honest grahams good but he aint as good as people make out, hes a prop who never runs the ball in, he passes, wouldnt have him over moz or carvell cos they make so many yards in each game its unbelievable

At the end of the day surely the only people allowed to gloat are the people who have achieved things themselves? Warrington fans haven't done anything to do with the Challenge Cup win, they just sat on their fat backsides and drunk beer while watching elite athletes in primrose and blue beat their rivals. If Adrian Morley wants to ring up Keiron Cunningham and ask him where his trophies are then fair enough but somebody on an internet forum with a Wiresforeversomething name jipping a St_Whatever, its a bit sad.

Sally. In the days that Wigan won everything the game was in a dreadful state. They were full time and everyone else was trying to keep up with them. Because no-one else was winning things gates were well down and Clubs were on the verge of going bust.
As for people stating that we were the new Wigan and that James Graham doesn't run with the ball, that's just ridiculous. Most of us wouldn't want to be called that, we are and always will be simply the WIRE. I don't particularly like James Graham, but he is an outstanding player and in the unlikely event of him signing for us, then I'm sure I could grow to like him very quickly.
As for gloating, yes I must admit I've done my fair share of it over the past few weeks, but having waited patiently for 35 years since the last CC Cup win, I really think I am entitled to gloat just a little.

isn't he younger, less injury prone, plays longer, and carries more ergo makes more yards per game ?
What is his actual average yards per carry compared to Morley and Carvell just so that it shows an acurate representation of the work they do ?
