Im sorry but last night he was below par, kicking out on the full on at least two occassions, throwing a wild pass out that led to a Hull try, poor execution/decision making on the last tackle when we are in the opposition 10/20, suffering cramp after only 60mins.

Its a shame cos our forwards pulled their tripe out last night only to be let down by the backs.

week after a chellenge cup final and your already starting to slate em, get a grip

not really just saying what i saw, him and mathers had shockers last night.
the forwards were fantastic again though.

Was dissapointing because we really needed a win last night but you should not be too harsh after what they produced at wembley the week before.

There were a few one on one tackles that were rubbish and cost us a first half lead but i thought we were lucky to be in the game at half time because it was one of the most brainless performances i have seen. i.e no field position, silly penalties, poor last play options, errors in our own half, but two good tries. Second half it looked like we would score past them if we had unlimited tackles.

I would say everyone contributed to this performance.

But that is the same everyone that won us the challenge cup!

He had a weird game last night, bit of a mixed bag. Sort of, the best & worst of Lee all in one. He was sensational in the first 20 mins.

It sort of made me think, when he's not fit, which clearly he wasn't last night after about 50 mins, he reverts to old style Lee Briers, the maverick who Smith doesn't want to see anymore. The new Lee Briers, the one Smith has grown to love, has to be fit to play, as it requires him to give alot more than the old one, and you can see the difference now.

When he's tired, he goes back to sort of off the cuff, unstructured stuff that doesn't come off really, and puts the side under pressure. It's not a problem really, we'd run our race like, but it's a sort of note to self for next year, almost.

Still flashes of genius in there, but lots of ordinary stuff, too.

He clearly didn't look fit, and at times he stayed well out of play, whereas ordinarily he would have been in there controlling it.

Saying that, for me the main reason our backs struggled was the lack of a halfback partner. Without Clarke and Bridge the only bit of creativity we had was from Briers, and he was off form.

That said, didn't he set all three tries up, he certainly created the first two. It didn't help that Mathers and Monas didn't have their best games at 1st/2nd receivers, meaning that nothing else happened.

+ no king, Clarke, Bridge, Grix, Johnson, Carney, Woody, then losing harrison after 14mins then losing L Anderson, so in perspective a rested KR team beat an injury ravaged warrington side, who were probably suffering a hang over from last sat, hey buts lets not look for excuses or have a go at individual players. best team on the day won

The only thing I will point out is the amount of players going down with cramp. Bear in mind the effect alcohol has on soft tissue.

I thought that very same thing. There are well documented scientific links between the two.
