I wasn`t at the game today, from the games ive seen since Tony Smith has come in our defence has improived ten fold.

The real test of how far our defence has come will be against a strong Saints or Leeds side, so far Tony Smith is proving what a good coach he is as he has got a team performing that previously had little interest in breaking sweat, no morale and no team spirit.

It just proves what a difference a top class coach makes, as a club we let our heart rule our head for too long in the past.

That was some 40/20 from Sam Tomkins, he`s had a very good game so far for Wigan. If you could combine Sam Tomkin`s attacking play and defensive game with Richie Myler`s support play and short kicking game then you would have some scrum half.

It was down to both sides where the defending was poor at times, that Webster try should have been stopped by Wigan, the scoreline reflects some of the defending. It was Tim Smith getting injured and young Tomkins coming on that changed the game.

I can`t say i`m a fan of Thierry Alibert, everytime ive seen him he makes shocking decisions.
