My opinion on why he might not have been effective even if Wigan had given him the ball.

These guys trained with him every day and know his strengths and weaknesses so against us i think he would be ineffective as they'd know what's coming.

Works both ways, he would know our weaknesses (if they weren't obvious earlier this season)

A player of Gleeson's experience is not likely to be scared playing against any team. However, just as when he was playing for us, Wiagn starved him of good quality ball so he was largely ineffective.

Yes, he had a pretty average game, as did most of the Wigan side, but to even dare suggest he was scared indicates that those doing the suggesting haven't stepped onto a Rugby pitch in their lives, because scared isn't something Rugby players ever do.

Thought Mathers had a good game, went at the line hard, caught balls, I found myself wondering why he couldn't do ANY of these at wigan to be honest.

Most of the time the crowd (WIGAN)was on his back for some reason,the lads confidence was shot to pieces,seems to be playin with lots of confidence now also brought a new dimension to our team,
yet all the pies do is call him or ridicule him,bit of a strange one really.
