| Did anyone hear this guys rant about how he thinks Super League clubs need to start signing union players because we aren't producing enough young players???
Is he for real? Wigan have plenty of decent young players who aren't getting a game...
For Gods sake he played 9 overseas players last week against Wakey..

| He's spouted this before.
I can't believe this bloke was ever GB coach.
He would rather we spent money on Union players than develop our own for cheaper.
There is nothing stopping him taking a gamble on a Union player anyway if he thinks they can add value.
In the current economic climate, now is not the time to look to increase the salary cap, which this would do.

| hmm Union does have some very good youngsters knocking about at the minute though, Wales have some fantastic backs.
I'd bet if a club took a punt on Farrels son, he'd be every bit as good as his dad.

If they think it's a good move, go for it.

| So just as the influx of imports looks to be drying up because of visa regulations, Nobby suggest we bugger off to Union for them now.
If he wants to coach Aussies and Union players, he should bugger off to the Super 14

| I think Noble is living in cloud cuckoo land personally and should be concentrating on promoting the youth of Wigan through the ranks instead of putting big money into the hands of a few pockets.

Wigan head coach Brian Noble believes Super League clubs should be buying up rugby union's big stars.
"Every club should be given a remit to sign one union home nations player," Noble told The Super League Show.
news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 892287.stm
some valid points, its about time the trend of league players going to union was reversed. there are a lot of good players in union who would be a success at league, and if we could get a few of them to come over, it would enhance the game. it would be good if a few of the welsh side could come over and bolster the crusaders too. i would like to see the rfl try to do something though, and encourage clubs to look at this option....

| They're not trying to sign RU players though, Fittler is just saying they should let league players do an off season stint in Japanese RU to make extra cash.
Presumably this will have England smashing them in international games every year, and the Aussie players complaining that they play too much rugby.....?

If the NRL will raise the salary cap so clubs can pay players what they're worth we wouldn't be having this problem.
