Souths will also put more players from their U20s and reserve grade side onto that bench. Last year they literally played around 25 players or more. It's a trial. For both teams. It's to give people match time, to try out plays, to see patterns, to see who can make it into the top flight for real.

I popped over. Solomona is indeed injured as people have mentioned. The most innocuous of events in training with a tackle bag and he fell awkwardly by the sounds of things.

Warrington are (naturally) finding the weather a bit hard work and they are having longer sessions than they do back home. Today has been hot in the blazing sun. It was a joint session with the Souths players and they had opposed small games also. I thought you lot looked good. Though there was a lot of dropped ball by both sides, mainly due to the sweat and humidity.

I was told that you had a welsh player who they expect big things from and a couple of the aussies suggested he was a good player. I just looked up your website, it's Rhys Evans they were on about and his speed!


Anyhow, good luck in the game next weekend. I'll be going for the English team... naturally.

I was there as well RB and Rhys Evans is looking good, i must say that the other Welshman Rhys Williams is looking great as well, i think he is training harder than any of the others, he was leading the way in the fitness drills along with Stef Ratchford.

Evans killed them in the sprints and did it with ease, he looked to be cruising. Gaz O'Brien may not play v Souths as his knee is still a bit swollen.
