Hope somebody does outbid us. I can’t think off too many riskier signings than Thompson at the moment, given his injury issue, his concussion problems and his likely huge salary demands. He could prove a wise gamble but he’s definitely a gamble for whoever gets him. Maybe I’m still sore from the George Burgess fiasco, so maybe it’s just that.

Like wise, I just don’t think given current circumstances he should command such a high salary. Saying that if you got the player he was at Saints then you would say yes.

Don't think Thompson is the answer - I'm sure I read that he's only managed 25 games in his 3 years with the Doggies

I do agree about Harrison i don't really see him as a prop, definately more of a 2nd row/loose forward type player.
I would like 2 signings to be announed in the coming weeks, BUT unless something has suddenly changed, Powell said nothing is even close and he'd have no reason to lie.

I have always liked Crocker. Good goal kicker as well. Fits the bill as a replacement for a Ratchford as he has played all his career on the left.
Not a Jamie Lyon type centre so I could see some comments about him not passing to Ashton.
Surprised he never got a decent shot in the New South Wales side.
He is super fit and he reminds me a bit of Menzies (maybe just the scrum cap) that he could play on forever.

I think Waqua Blake (Eels) and Bradman Best (Knights) are on the move and would be decent options at centre but I would be happy with Crocker. If it is Crocker I just hope fans don't expect the flashy stuff but the things he does do are quality.

Not too bothered about Thompson. Just feels like we would be doing it so that he doesn't go back to Saints.

Jarrod Croker - ultra professional one club man. Outstanding goal kicker. My only concern would be the condition of his shoulder and his left knee.

Not sure he suits the style that Powell has recently suggest he wants. He picked Wrench at centre highlighting that pace in the back was his preference. Croker doesn’t really fit that brief.

That said, appears a good leader. Excellent kicker. Solid defender.

As I said before good player but would be better off with keighran from Catalans taking into account crokers age and recent injury history

I wouldn't touch Crocker with a barge pole now a days. If we could unearth another Bryson Goodwin i'd be happy but very much doubt it.
Bradman best would cause problems for opposition, but again i doubt he'd want to move here unless no other club was interested.
