Totally agree with this post, bridge should not play if not fit as they looked like it was the first time they had ever been on a pitch together.

Perhaps Warrington could have lucked out and taken their chances. But the truth is - Saints can just as easily say "We had complete midfield dominance: Warrington were there for a pasting".

The problem is a fundamental one. Until Warrington can compete - especially through the props (aside from a cheeky dummy and score - what input did Warrington's primary yardage gainers have on the game?) - taking that extra step to GF winners will be difficult.

I'd agree with most of the sentiment here, best team won and lack of composure and poor kicking game did for us big style. I also thought we looked lethargic at the PTB and surrended the speed of the ruck all to easily to Saints, with the effect that Clark was largely nullified. With Roby benched and unfit we should have had a beano.

But. Can someone, anyone, please explain to me why Travis Burns was not sin-binned on either of the two occasions he committed the most blatant, absurd, professional fouls I've seen in some time. I thought after a series of foul play Thaler had put them on a team penalty when he called Wilkin over.
It seems he hadn't, so all credit to Saints for utilising the cheat card very well. Something only the ape's pies usually can do.

Saints deserved the win, they scored more points than us. Joking aside, they've started the season on fire, and deserve their top place.

But they wouldn't be there if we had a decent coach that realised that Chris Bridge is the greatest half back ever to touch a rugby ball. Oh, and Ratchford should play in the halfs too. Can't remember a single decent kick all night from us. Bridge should have been hauled off after about ten minutes. That defence on the right edge again... hmmmm. I do regret to inform that Penny did take a bit of stick from our fans tonight. To be fair I was ready to burst into a barrage of abuse when he nearly dropped it before his try. Don't think he's to blame for tonight though. No lack of effort though, loved Hill's dummy.

There's far too much blame being heaped upon the Warrington halves.

Especially when the Warrington forwards - especially at prop - were completely anonymous.

I'm not defending Bridge and O'B - but it's a bit of a tall order for them to make a mark when they have no decent possession.

They need to get Laithwaite and Currie involved more, both players have great potential but didn't see enough of the ball tonight and Westwood was a bit anonymous apart from the pass around the 10th min when Penny knocks on when he could have scored.
I thought Sims made an impact in defence and Hill made the metres, neither were overly bad IMO. The halves were all over the place for me, the organisation was non exsistant and if Ratchford was a t 6 they might have created more.

Fair play for plugging on and keeping the heat on us, you'll beat plenty of teams if you play 80 mins like you did the last 20.
