Quote ="[urlhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/9541652.stm[/url" Warrington coach Tony Smith was angered by Coley's tackle. "He's not good and I am not happy," he said. Doesn't specify Wigan at all though. Could easily mean these type of tackles in general. Paranoia.

| Nothing wrong with it at all.
One high, one low is one of the basics of Rugby League. Injuries happen, it's a contact sport and is unavoidable.

Scott Grix doesn't play for Warrington
Atkins immediately apologised to Mossop on Saturday - could hardly be construed as a deliberate attempt to injure him.

| Solomona was simply unlucky (as were we seeing as we 'won' 20-4 whilst he was on the field).

Nice evasive move from M Monas saving himself from a really nasty hit from O'Loughlin (30:27 on the IPlayer link)!

Quote ="Ian Roberts Closet"Really can you name all these bad injuries and who made them?'"
I've being visiting this forum all season but resisted joining until now, but the topic of Wigan's tackle technique is one I feel compelled to comment on.
In terms of players with injured joints from Wigan dubious tackle techniques; the list just to my knowledge is:
Chris Clarkson (by Lima)
Kieren Cunningham (by Sam tomkins)
Jake Emmit
Solomona (by Coley)
Sam Moa (by Coley)
Wigan's tackle technique isn't a secret, and has been well documented, read the link for more information: www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/ap ... n-warriors
A number of coaches have spoke out about this subject including Mick Potter, John Kear and Nathen Brown.
Surely our game is tough enough with dangerous tackle techniques

| I agree, Wigan players are going out to injure players intentionally and if the injury results in a completed tackle then that's a bonus.

All coaches have spoke after defeats! Smith never moaned about our defence when they beat us at our place!!
Huddersfield were the 1st to use 3 men in the tackle but that doesnt suit an anti wigan rant!
I will give you another Tuson on Wilkin, even Jon Wilkin couldnt believe it! Do you think that Spear tackles and late challenges with the elbow are better than ones round the legs?

| Ian you have already been told to bugger off.
You moan and moan for a list, someones give you what you want, and you start making excuses.
Plus Tony Smith has been complaining about that the "Wigan tackle" as I think it is now known all season, and it has already been banned in the NRL.

| To be fair I noticed Brough doing it a few times in the hudds HKR match but obviously he lacks the Power of a Coley... and to be fair to Brough when he went in to tackle the legs third man there was no hint of a cannonball hit, it was quite a weak but effective effort.
however I was a bit concerned today that Oliver Elima was doing it quite a bit with considerably more agression than Danny Brough...
I still Havent Seen the Coley tackle and had the chance To ask him about it this morning but I Shit out and started talking garden furniture instead...!!!
