We may need a option at goal kicker though as Benny is no good under preasure and he does miss more than he gets if they are not right infront of the sticks.

I can see the perspective but we definitely stole a point of Hull at the weekend and London ran a very good sts team very close for 70 mins or so.
I wouldn't risk anything till Hull Kr and Bradford
Gain momentum into Hudds after a shaky start.
We could probably get away with it though next week.

Only a couple of them. Some people have forgotten how good he was in the last 6 games of 2011. Same goes for Mike Cooper who also finished last season very strongly.

| I don't believe Riley currently has the passing game that is now required from a linking full-back. Too often, in my opinion, the ball sticks with Riley wheras Hodgson would have put the winger/centre in. For that reason I would play Ratchford at full-back.
If Joel is back the other wing spot would be between Riley and Evans with Evans edging it for me.

| More importantly, Riley has shown in the past that he can take a high ball. In the England Knights game Ratchford was apparently very dodgy.

I've been thinking about this. Will the return of Hodgson mean the return of Harrison to loose? Too many cooks, etc...

Spot on. I like Riley but your best full backs now are those who have a stand offs ability to join the line and play as an extra pivot. Hodgson does that and I think Ratchford has the potential to do so, albeit still very unproven.
That doesn't mean I'm a 'doom monger' as far as Riley is concerned. I just think he is better suited to wing and is a reasonable back up full back. It's anice position to be in as a club.

Londons defence was sound v saints but was found wanting at the spot that W/house runs in. He should have a field day. Broncos success v Saints was down to their big forwards having an impact. I'd start with Harrison at 13 with Grix to come after 20 mins.

He has 'hyper extended' his elbow, expected to be out for this week but back next. Briers and Joel also should be back this week.

| Keep Myler and Ratchford in the halves no need to change them around for this game.Put Briers on the bench no need for Joel to play in this game either. The team from last week should be good enough to beat the Broncos

| It won't happen, but this does seem like the ideal opportunity to give Bradley Dwyer 10 mins in each half off the bench and give him a taste of SL action. It's a game that I can see Monas running riot in, I think we'll get a fairly quick ruck after Smith's comments. Providing it's dry, he'll be scheming.

By all accounts he has really kicked on over the last 12 months.... I didn't get to watch as many under 20's games last season as i did in previous seasons, due to a nagging mrs........ but I plan on watching a few more this year. Be good to see how he has progressed. Its a position we could really do with a young player to come through strongly in... I'm not really sold on this myler at 9 idea that seems to be quite a popular amongst some fans.

| We shouldn't underestimate London. They are not the same team that we put 82 on last season. They have recruited heavily from the NRL and are apparently spending the full cap.

I agree, If we look at this as a cakewalk then we will drop points.
London are not the team that we played last March.
But Sky Bet have got us as 1/25 favourites off scratch or -20 points.

I agree also. When you have someone of the quality of Micheal Witt in your side the potential for an upset has to be there. He played great against Stains at the weekend.

| I think it could be a really tough game this Sunday, especially if the fans come expecting eighty and start groaning if we're not 12-0 up inside the first ten. I really don't like the idea of introducing young kids when we don't need to before we've even got a few wins on the board. You give them a run once the team is hitting its straps and playing good footy.

It could well be tough, I think the big emphasis this week will be on our 'D' as I think it was clear from TS post match that he wasn't happy with certain parts of ours at Hull, I can see there being a bigger emphasis placed on a nil than an 82. I see a comfortable hard fought (slight contradiction) if you know what I mean style win, say 28-12.
By introducing Dwyer, I'm not intending this to show a lack of respect for London, more that he has to be Hooker No.3 surely, I know it's more TS's way that we'll get a stint there from Bridge/Briers/Myler/Ratchford, just to find themselves at acting half in a set etc but I'd like to see the lad get a go, I think it would be a boost to the fringe lot also with the 20's season about to start.
This time last year, we'd lost to Huddersfield and needed all 80 of the mins to eek past Hull KR at home, so we really didn't hit our straps early doors, this could be a similar game to that Hull KR one, nip & tiuck, go either way job for sure. I just don't see it given Smith's anger post match, I think he wants a reaction.

| I 'd like to see one of the youngsters get a run but I think God will want to give the established guys as much time on the pitch as possible this early in the season. Dwyer, Currie and one or two others may well get their first team opportunity this year but I doubt we'll see any of them just yet.
London are a different proposition this year, still think we'll get the 2 points but it will be tough.
My guess for Sunday-
Riley
Joel M
Bridge
Atkins
Williams
Ratchford
Myler
Morley
Mick M
Carvell
Westwood
Waterhouse
Grix
I/chg - Briers, Harrison (or Hill), Cooper, Wood
