To be honest I think Wire gave that game away. They could easily have outscored Wigan with the chances they had. Wigan had four chances and took them. Still it's only a friendly

i agree, i mean its not like we got stuffed by huddersfield!

friendly games mean virtually nothing.... especially this close to the start of the season.

that doesn't mean positives cant be taken from them.

sounds like some of wigans new lads had a good run out... they will be happy with lima for example.

and we have seen that hodgson is probably the best goalkicker in superleague.

Was it a full team for you fellas tonight or was there a few missing? Think we have done alright with the players we have out, sounds like our defence was good under your pressure.

Good for both teams i imagine.

I always feel in a friendly it pays to play the best available opposition, can't complain with that im sure Maguire and Smith will get more out of it then the other friendlies.

Sounds like it had a more competitive edge to it anyway.

Wood and Carvell missing for Warrington as far as i can tell. Wigan were missing Gleeson, Fielden, Hansen, Finch and Richards

For a friendly, it was very competitive indeed. Good game, and a great attendence despite it being a midweek evening game.

Wire struggled to make metres at times whereas Wigan were using the flanks really well and making good strides with consumate ease. Sam Tomkins had a great game, was putting us to the sword quite a few times with his jinking runs. Fair few missed tackles by Wire, but you do get them in a friendly. Couple of missed penalty kicks into touch as well, which was pretty poor to see, but I'll blame that on the bitter wind blowing around the stadium!

Still overall I'm not worried about the result, think both teams gave a good account of themselves, great to see CLarkey get in at the end, and really can't wait for the season to start now.

Couple of idiots at the end of the game, one saying that the ref didn't help and how he was a "bald w*****" and the other said that "Joel was crap and should pack up back to Oz". It was a friendly FFS. Monas jnr wasn't at his best, and I thought Bentham had a pretty decent game. Let it flow most of the time and wasn't whistle happy.

sam tomkins will have an amazing season.... MOS beckons for him in my opinion.

PM Les Boyd Is God,he his pretty upto speed on bets!It would be fitting for Lee Briers to get Man of Steel this year,just cannot see him lighting up every round of super league though,my money is on Morley!

in all honesty briers isnt a patch on tomkins ability wise.... he is pure class.

this time last year i was saying he was second behind eatsmond in english halfbacks..... i was wrong... tomkins is MILES better than eastmond.

I saw the biggest collision I have ever seen tonight when a charging Anderson hit a full pace Lima. Both went a yard backwards and it was only the two other Wire tacklers that kept Lima on his feet. Anderson went on his backside but bloody hell there was a shock wave from it. Both sets of players weren't holding back at one point then I think they all realised that it was a friendly. I think I will go and watch the league game. Don't be too disheartend Wire, it is very early on and I felt like telling a group of moaners behind me to shut fluff up. What does need sorting is your second phase of attack as you looked unhinged at times with no organisation in the middle. Enjoyed myself tonight and payed on the gate £13. Take heed LSV.

When players get used to Sams fake step forward, if he doesn't have the quick thinking to react to a commited tackler he will get snotted. He uses that fake step too often for me. Good player though.

louis Anderson is an animal.... he was my favourite player last season... he puts his body on the line in the name of defense... his hit on hansen at the DW last season was worth the entrance fee alone....

If you had seen that tonight. It was like two wrecking balls coming together.

Wigan will be really good again this year, Lima was impressive. Their shirt is even worse in real life and if the rest of SuperLeague have the same lack of wit about Joel M? Well, he'll die of boredom before it bothers him.

I think that for quite a bit of the season Joel will play centre to Bridges winger role.....unless Bridge can learn to pass to his right

i was at your place the other week and he folded one of your players in half ... the lads an animal... he would try and hit a train if he thought it was on his tracks.

You lost me pal, last season Bridge put in some absolute pearling passes including the very fast passes (which he's become quite consistent with) in which he collects it and realises it in the same movement.

A 'fake' step thats worked for a few seasons now.. long may it continue from 1 or 6.
