| Drop Mathers, tell clarke we are playing at Wilderspool, start with 12 players and 3 on the bench...and keep Solomona on the bench until the proverbial really does hit the fan.

We need to take out the main players like we did tried to at Wigan like Tomkins not the little ones. Take one of Pryce, Graham and KC early on.

| Strong Wire side but I agree that Mathers will be bombed - I hope they've worked on that in the week and got the necessary cover in place around him.
Fully agree that Saints always 'up their game' against us and regardless of who's there they are capable of causing problems.
Plan should be to keep their big name players quiet and smash the younger lads.
Grix at 13 and Carvell on the bench with either Clarke or Vinnie to miss out along with Mitchell.

IMHO the issue here would be that Riley isn't really any better under the high ball (and his positional play at full back isn't any better either), and if we put Hicks there we lose his attacking threat.

You'll find them very resilient. They may be young but they've played against Leeds and Wigan, and I think Dixon played against you at KR. Ashurst and Dixon in particular have had almost a full season at first grade this year, with plenty of experience last season as well. They aren't pushovers at all. Nor is Emmitt if he plays. And Magennis is not afraid to tackle or take a tackle. And young Foster is very, very capable of catching a bomb.
I'd go with the plan to disrupt our experienced players. Where Gardner and Meli are concerned that is easy: just bomb them. They can't catch a cold, either of them! But that's a tactic that all teams have known about for years.

| No such thing as a weakened saints side - seen it too often to ever believe it, wouldn't be surprised to see Eastmond, Long, Sculthorpe, Joynt on the team sheet on Saturday. Most teams have injuries with the recovery times being quoted in number of weeks - saints players are injured until the week before the next Wire game.
On the game plan, saints will play 5 drives, make as much field position as possible then skillfully boot the ball skyward - expect Pryce / Wilkin to share this duty. One in 5 will result in a try, two in five in a repeat set - shocking tactic but that's saints for you

I can only apologise for the tactics the team has employed under Slick Mick Harry Potter, but rest assured we'll be back to scoring length of the field tries, being 'just like watching Brazil' and alround awesome again from next season.

| This is almost, a "must win" game. If we go in to the play-offs with a home loss against a depleted Stains side, morale will not be great.
I know Briers said (re the Wigan game) that winning wasn't the be all and end all, but tomorrow IS. I really can't see us winning the Grand Final, if we can't take care of Stains deficiencies tomorrow.
I DO (finally) believe that we'll now beat them, but we CANNOT take them lightly. Any side containing Cunningham, Wellens and Pryce cannot be ignored.

Good God - I don't think there's any danger of that! There's more chance of Odemwingie having full sex with a woman than of Warrington taking a Saints victory for granted.

I fear we might come up short again tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong (often am with Wire) but Saints always seem to reserve their best games of the year for us. If our pack really turns up like at the JCB than we have a good chance. Otherwise, more of the last 9 long never bloody ending years where my next door soddin neighbour peers over our fence to give me yet another thumbs up for a Saints win. Please, please let me cut the lawn on Sunday singing oh Warry Warry please god.

I'm almost tempted to get the video (how old fashioned am I) out tonight, and rewatch THAT game. How pooh was Anthony Sullivan in that game. He couldn't catch crabs at Piccadilly bus station, even Odemwingie could do that.
