There are 5 incidents each using the same description but only George gets a ban????. I have watched the game back and didn't notice anything that warranted a ban by George.

A trip used to be a match ban at one time now apparently £250 fine

A trip used to be instant dismissal and there was wholesale condemnation of any players who tripped an opponent.

Fez I've also just rewatched the game and didn't spot anything untoward as far as Williams was concerned but also think that the non referral for Fitzgibbon was correct.

Williams may have warranted a week's rest perhaps less so with Hayes missing but re refereeing games after the event if that's what they are doing is barking mad

For me, if something wasn't spotted or pulled up during the game, then that's it....but unfortunately that smacks of common sense, and we know that Cullen & his cronies don't do common sense.

Exactly and it's not as if much should get missed on the day with every game televised

At one time it was an automatic sending off.

We both know that George wasn’t going to play anyway. I watched the Catalan game and to be honest I did not see him involved in any incident that warranted a ban.

By eck I think I have spotted the horrific foul play that got George the ban.....it's at 62 minutes and its horrible......not, the games gone soft. Took three watches to spot it

Meanwhile, I see that the Pope is facing a 6-8 week ban. It could keep him out until round 21 but should be available for Magic Weekend

The funniest thing I read about this was a tweet from a Wigun fan accusing Wires of corrupting Sam Powell into cheating.

If they decide to appeal it’s not going from 3 to zero, those 2 will not be playing on Saturday. Let’s not get complacent about it though. It will still be a tough game.

Keighran is bang to rights. It was a bad one and I have no idea what he was thinking. The Dupree one, I'm not so sure about, if I'm being honest. Didn't seem to warrant a Grade D from the clip I have seen, but I know others feel differently (especially the MRP, it would seem). While it's natural for us fans to at first think 'great, Wigan have lost two players for the final', they will both be replaced by other players of a similar standard, and I wouldn't expect it to affect the match too much, really.

Keighran is bang average, albeit a great kicker and they have much better props than dupree. Wigan fans wont be too bothered by this.

If any side can cope with losing 2 from their top 17 it is Wigan. Both deserved to be banned.

Guess it will even it up slightly with us missing Hayes and Philbin.

I think Dupree knew what he was doing and was snide about it. Keighran's case was a slam dunk. Both stupid and pointless.

As for the ban length, both still less than Vaughan lifting a player time wasting by feigning injury.

I agree, it won't affect the result I don't think. Wigan still odds on favourites.
