Don’t understand what the issue is with “player of the match” it’s the best payer, not the best man (which could be based on looks/physique etcetc |

It is because Man Of The Match is trademarked, and when the trademark got purchased by a new owner in 2012 they started to properly enforce it. |

It seems very quiet this year, not that Im complaining. But it certainly seems to be a sea change from last year when farting in the scrum could get you a 10 week suspension.

Interesting that at the beginning of the season there was a lot of speculation that the crackdown on head highs would be the death of the game. In fact players seem to have learned very quickly, and the game seems more entertaining with one team the notable exception.
