The only one for me would be Mulhearn as cover.

Mulhern was one of the few OOC players I would have thought about keeping. However with Vaughan, Dudson, Mikaele, Kasiano, Bullock, Philbin, Harrison and potentially McGuire too if he has signed already available to play in the middle, I think cover would be better spent elsewhere?

Yes I think you are right. A shame for Mulhearn as he has looked decent. Better than a lot of recent forwards we have had. Just timing was wrong for him with us.

The rest can go to Leigh or below and play for a team at their level.

Watson wants to keep King for next year, so you never now the move might become permanent? I do hope we can keep Wardle though and Wigan haven't already got their grubby mitts on him.

If we palm off King to Hudds - that's cake, if we keep Wardle - that's the icing.

Then I hope we learn a lesson about giving out 4.5 year commitments.

Wardle is still contracted to Huddersfield for 2023 season, so he is not a free agent to move to Wigan, without the permission of Huddersfield.

My only concern on Wardle has been his injury record, hasn’t been great. However I seem to remember King went through a similar thing before it sorted itself out.

More playing time for Connor wrench and if Sunday is anything to go by then a fine example of centre play to follow.

Both players might want this swap, but I just can't see Huddersfield being willing to pay King's high wages. I'd be happy to leave signing mcguire(I like the idea of Harrison at 13)if it means we pay part of King's salary to make sure this swap can happen.

Can`t see any other way, than to pay part of King`s salary.

It would be on Huddersfield`s` Salary Cap, so it would have to work for them.

Think King has burnt his bridges with Warrington, and will be loaned-out to another club if he tries to return to Wire next season.

Depends what happens with leutele, he'll be on a packet, If they don't resign him they may be slightly better placed to eat King's ransom

I’m sure we’ll have to pay his wages in one way or another for some time but as long as we get to keep Wardle it’ll be big upgrade. I don’t particularly mind King but a centre needs to be elusive or a battering ram and with good hands….not sure he possesses any of the above. Wardle is a genuine centre.

I don`t know whether it is a coincidence or not, but there has has been a major improvement since King was shown the door.

I like him but we just don't need to tie up his cap space in the forwards. Vaughan, Dudson, kasiano, mikaele as starters bullock and Philbin in reserve. Harrison can play anywhere in the pack as well. We just don't need another IMO, shame for mulhern but if we kept him we may end up with an unbalanced squad having spent too much on the front row in a total reversal of recent seasons when we haven't spent enough cap space for those positions. Give the free space on a contract offer for Wardle IMO.

Maybe UR. Hard to compare though isn't it, we need to compare the overall pack and at least on paper it looks significantly stronger overall for next season.

Whilst mulhern was good he still has more limitations than all of the props we have signed up for next season except maybe Philbin IMO. I really hope he gets a decent superleague contract and goes on to have a good career. I'm happy enough to see him in the team every week for the remainder of this season as well.
