At least this means he will be available for Salford.
King, Anderson and Hodgson all selected.
The article says that Monaghan missed out given that only three players per club are allowed. I'm surprised as that leaves just the one hooker in the team.'"
Wey Hey get the big names selected,GO WIRE !!

Quote ="worthing wire"I strongly doubt that Monaghan gives the tiniest poop about not making the final squad.'"
What makes you think that? All evidence so far shows all the guys who have been picked are delighted to be involved in the Exiles. They are all talking it up, none have pulled out with mysterious injuries and read the following:
www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/wol ... ng_Exiles/
Surely if it meant nothing to the players, then King would have pulled out for sure to be with his wife. This isn't just a few training sessions and a game on Friday - the squad have left their families and are staying in a hotel together for the full week.
Looking at the two squads, I think England are in for a struggle. If the Exiles win - where does that leave marketing for the four nations!?
As for Monas - it looks as if McLennan has picked Buderus as his captain because he knows him well from Leeds and therefore doesn't need Monas to simply be an interchange hooker. Faiumu can do that and play 13 as well.

What?!?
There aren't enough threequarters to accomodate that.

It's not really 'rep footy' though, is it?
And as for King's quote that being in training camp beforehand is "like having a little family, and that's special" - well, he'd better hope that his first-born doesn't arrive early, as that is actually having a little family...

| Do you not think Monaghan's ommission might have come via a spot of bargaining from Smith to McLennan? McLennan will know it's not the most important game in the world and will no doubt have had a word with Smith. Perhaps he's said to him, "Please could you leave Monaghan out mate?". It just seems a bizarre decision, not particularly leaving him out for Buderus which most Aussie coaches would probably do because of his reputation, but for the selection of Anderson. He looks out of place with some of the backrowers they could have selected.
