I think Kevin Penny deserves another chance with the Wire. He's the one player over the last 10 years that has given the crowd genuine excitement and no one can argue that he has scored some fabulous tries.

As FB says above I personally think he was a victim of Matt King and Chris Bridge struggling to play together and for form and as an inexperienced player he was caught out. His confidence was shot and he probably needed to reconstruct himself as a player. I think in TS we have a coach who can do this, who isn't afraid to loan players out for experience and to keep them close when he needs to. KP I'm sure will get his chance again in the Primrose and Blue and I for one will be supporting him when he does.

For all the accolades trown his way when he burst on the scene, he is a young lad who came late to the game and has massive improvements in him. His greatest asset is not just his pace but the way he can beat men when he has the ball. Positioning, tackle technique etc can all be taught but that natural flair cannot.

As has been said above a wingers job is to score first and foremost and he is damn good at that.

I don't know but it is more than he is worth ! no matter how much or how little he is on .

Don't be daft his defence is awful

Watched him play for your U20s tonight - he scored but made the proverbial defensive errors that he seems incapable of overcoming. He's a player full of passion and desire to win and rallies his team mates, I'm just not sure that his speed and scoring ability are enough to override his often poor defence and frequent dropped balls
