Salford really is a hard sell even for the converted when you consider if you have ppv tv or other means and without football still have the chance to spend good friday watching souths/bulldogs brisbane/cowboys fc/kr St's wig, or paying £25 to stand in an empty arena with two stands completely closed it's a tough job. I wonder if sale ever have to accept playing in front of a half shut down arena.

Sale probably accept what ever deal the people who run the club have negotiated with the stadium.
Tbf taking aside playing a big club argument, we are playing Catalans who do not bring support, we have 3k so why have two stands open with 10 people sat in them with 20 stewards just doesn't make financial sense to the club.

Its the price we have to pay due to us not having a derby. I'm sure if Swinton or Leigh were in Superleague we'd be playing one of them today.

We are in the same boat, over the years we've had Catalans, London, Crusaders, Wakefield, yourselves and Widnes as our marquee Easter games. hardly money spinners.
i think we are the only 2 clubs that don't have a big derby game at Easter.

It's not always us though is it? We played Wigan at home last year in front of a big crowd and we have played Warrington a number of times when they have travelled in numbers.
