| Great player, massive error from us, more ammunition for the all is not well camp.
Can think of other back rows I'd have farmed out before him.

| A good squad player and a trier.
MR - bit harsh that - hes still with us and presumably there is a re-call back option but the lad will get regular RL. Your comment could also apply to James Cunningham who has been outstanding at Hull but another not in the coach`s picture.

Think about it, cover for the back row, loose forward and centres, isn't a penalty machine and one player who always seems to give it his all every time he comes on.
Wasn't meant to be harsh, just an honest assessment.

With it saying he is there for 2016 as well it looks like being a permanent move?

| TS - Well I would be staggered if there isnt a re-call clause. Only business sense isnt it? Brad Dwyer was on season long loan with thyem but now back with Wire so guess it would be similar.

| Nope. Gone Apparently. Fairly indifferent about him. Not bad but not that hard to replace to a similar standard.

| I want to build the team around young players "hollow words spoken again" Good player never let the team down very versatile not really given a chance.

He's a definite signing for the remainder of the season and 2016 as our new club policy is to "only use loan and DR in future if we have a major injury crisis" as we've been badly stuffed around by this in the past. I know little about Jason so interesting to read as I've put up a post up on the Broncos board just before the OP here.

| Sorry he's gone.
Handy squad player and always gave 100%.
Unlikely to be first choice in a Superleague squad.
I always liked him on the bench because he was versatile and could make an immediate impact.

| Stupid decision to let him go. I imagine he is cheap in comparison to some of our big time Charlies and always gives 100% on the pitch.
If it was Harris' decision to extend George Griffins contract but let Walton go, no wonder he's gone.

No big problem. Always tries hard and gives 100% but not big enough to be an effective 2nd tow or quick enough to be a centre. At SL anyway. Shame he's gone cos always good to see someone giving everything but only ever a squad player

| We lost 4 players on tuesday to injury , Paterson, Tasi, Morley & the younger Walne, 4 crucial games to go & probably a dog eat dog fight in the middle 8's .
What do we do, offload Walton.
Apart from the fact he was a fit squad player and cover for centre, 2nd row, he was one of our club trained players.
We've lost 10 of last 11 games , we are struggling for confidence & form, we are hardly in the position of flirting players.
Bizzare and worrying.

I agree. The timing is absolutely crazy, and while Walton isn't exactly a World Beater why on Earth would we give him to a potential opponent in the Middle 8's?
I'd like to know who has called the shots on this one, and what the Hell they were thinking.

| Walton had his limitations but he offered something others lacked which was enthusiasm. I would love to know whose decision it was to let him go - Harris? Harris' overall demeanour at interviews etc never displayed much enthusiasm.

| The more I think about this the odder it seems, I can only hope that it is to release some cap space for a signing or two.
TP, Hock, Locke and now Walton. If there is someone coming in that's a serious bit of wriggle room on the cap space.

| Dixon, TP, Hock, Locke, England and Walton all gone. By my calculations, that will have freed up circa close to £500k of salary cap space.

| You've recently signed London lad Olsi Krasniqi who seems similar in temperment & size to Jason Walton so wondering what the story is there.

Signed a permanent deal with Fev last month after a loan spell with the All Golds. Wasn't given a chance.
