Still don't understand that what's wrong with 2 up 2 down with normal play offs

I'm actually quite looking forward to us playing against Wakey, Hull, Hull KR, Leigh, Bradford, Sheffield and Featherstone or something like that. Should be well contested and a real challenge for all concerned with a real prize at the end of it.

I can see why you would be looking forward to it but I am not looking forward to the gates at the home games.

I can see there being some very dire attendances especially for the games against the Championship clubs (Probably Leigh at home aside)

I am not looking forward to the play off we could get relegated.

Assuming we end up in the middle 8's and we have a (near to) full strength squad to choose from we [ushould[/u be fine. I honestly believe we'd be comfortably in the top 8 now if we hadn't had the injury (unlucky) or disciplinary (somewhat deserved) problems. If we are to lose 3 or 4 key players at the end of the season the least they could do is put the effort in to keep us up as there is no way this squad is bad enough (ability wise) to be playing in the championship.

If the worst comes to the worst and we end up in the relegation scrap I'd love to see us smash the cr@p out of Leigh..... good team, granted, but some of the most deluded fans in RL!



I'd love to see us sneak 8th tho. Unlikely as it is I honestly believe we have enough ability in this squad to cause an upset or 2 in the play-offs. We'd at least be competitive unlike the drubbing we took off Bradford last time we made the 8.

The gulf in class I believe has shortened this year with the league being reduced to 12. I don't think any team in SL really fears another team anymore.

I'm too lazy to do the maths but I'd assume that 4 wins from 7 would be enough to get you in the top 3 and guaranteed SL survival? So going off how our fixtures would fall if we stayed in 11th that leaves us with.....

I would honestly expect us to win at least 5 out of the 7 with a strong squad. I know a couple could go either way but Sheffield, Halifax and Wakey surely have to be bankers so it's just a matter of picking up 1 or 2 wins from the remaining fixtures?

Think we will squeeze in at 8th. Then come in top form and get to Old Trafford final and win it

Quite selfishly, Halifax away would be superb for me: a bus to close to the ground goes from just down the street.

It should be. Mathematically it guarantees a top four finish, but I don’t expect the 3rd or 4th Championship clubs to get more than a couple of wins.

TBH, I think we can (respectfully) rule Sheffield and Halifax out of the equation so that leaves 4 from 6 to play in SL next year. Leigh and Bradford are more than capable of springing a surprise (or maybe 2) but I'd be very surprised if any of Widnes, HKR or Salford drop out. As well as Leigh have done this season (and last) they caught Salford and Wakey at a great time due to form, injuries and suspensions. I'd fully expect us to turn them over in the Middle 8's tho assuming we've got a reasonably settled camp. They've no doubt got some excellent players but they've also got dross like Platt so if we can't beat them with a strong squad we don't deserve to be in SL next season.

If I had to put my house on it I'd for for a Wakey v Leigh winner takes all which will be well worth watching.
