Marwan Koukash's slim chances of owning an NRL club are dashed after reports more players and staff aren't getting paid at Salford. We revealed recently that Tony Puletua was out of pocket to the tune of almost 50,000 pounds and there are fresh claims from the Old Dart that some staff are on strike after not being paid. After the Nathan Tinkler debacle, the NRL is wary of handing clubs over to self-made millionaires with a penchant for horses.

I'd have thought that the report in question is based on the shonky Salford Star rather than new evidence of the Doc being potless.

There's an interesting post from Derwent on this forum - See post 22. I don't know if this is actually possible or it's just scaremongering.

Also interesting to read the Doc's tweet last night about there always being two sides to a story and very soon he will be wiping the smug smile off their faces. Do you think he means the Salford Star or the MEN? Could there be a legal challenge? - Defamation of character perhaps? Has anyone else noticed that if there's anything negative in print about Salford it's always Neal Keeling's name against the article and not Neil Barker. Do you think this is intentional so not burn any bridges between NB and the club? |

Looks like the accounts are all up to date now, according to Companies House. This *could* all just be that classic Salford massive disorganisation we all know and love. I'll leave it up to someone else to spend a tenner and have a nosey.
