| Impressed at how well the Salford team is doing in recent weeks, the team looks almost complete, if they can get a couple of intimidating props and a fast hooker they can really challenge for honours next year.
Have any props been linked with Salford? James Graham or George Burgess would be great acquisitions in an ideal world.

| I can't see many more signings if i'm honest!
It would be nice to add world class players but i think were not far off being done with our deals!

| I think we're still a bit short in the front row. Most clubs go into a game with four (maybe even five) props and rotate them. With Shannan McP gone, we've really only got four (five if you count Tony Puletua) recognised props. So, with Lama suspended and Adam Walne out for the season, we went into the game yesterday with just Morley and Griffin as out and out props and Puletua as prop/second row playing prop. One of the interchanges Iestyn made yesterday was Jordan Walne on for Adrian Morley, which is second row for prop. Last week, Gareth Hock seemed to be operating as part of the prop rotation; again a second row being played out of position.
It's working for us at the moment, but I feel sure there must be a front row signing in the offing. We were being linked with Gil Dudson, but that seems to have gone quiet.

| I can’t imagine we have much cap space left. Kevin Locke and Michael Dobson must be taking up a fair chunk, makes you wonder with the performances of Niall Evalds and Theo Fages whether both of those players are were needed as much as they was maybe 3-4 months ago.
We’re desperate for at least another prop, if Mozza decides to hang up his boots then we’ll need another two.

| I think Theo's emergence over the last month or so seem to show that maybe the Dobson signing isn't make or break.
But I think the signing of Locke was and is needed. When teams see his name on the team sheet it gives us a mental advantage we haven't had. To see a genuine world class player lining up is a massive shot in the arm for everyone playing along him and puts the thought of s@@t this guy can rip it up!!

| Said it before but I think we could do worse than looking at Krasniqi from London, big raw boned youngster who I'd think would benefit from being around Morley, HH, Hock and the like. You'd think he would be a free agent with London being relegated and also wouldn't take up a huge amount of the cap. Benefit also of him being a friend of MCB.

Ah, no, sorry. It was tax, not tackles.

| Toka Likiliki and Paterika Vaivai.
Two huge 22 year old props who have both had 1 game of NRL and will be cut by the Newcastle Knights at the end of this season.

| We'll struggle to sign 2 more non fed players...unless we're already letting one of our top players go.

| We could do worse than look at Manase Manuokafoa, Vaivai also I saw his first grade debut on Premier and is massive as well as being pretty quick over the ground.
I thought that with Shannon Mc, Meli, Smith and potentially Mullaney heading out and Locke & Dobson coming in we'd have at least one quota spot up for grabs. I'd love too see Vaivai & Tasi as the starting props next season as both young enough to put in a couple of 30 minutes stints in both halves.

| Looking at the way Harris goes about his business - outside of the headline grabbing Locke - Dobson signings- he has operated below the radar bringing in undervalued &/or championship players.
+ most of the best up & coming forwards have also been fetched out of the KPC + they'll be cheaper.
Much as I'd like Moi Moi or Vaivai. ( or anyone else so good they named them twice ..)I'd be just as happy if we went for a prospect with a good engine who would fit into the coaches new sysytem.

Although I'm not sure who our non-fed players are, I'm pretty sure Shannan McP was exempt because we signed him from Crusaders when the RFL were offering out such exemptions, and I don't think Francis Meli is classed as non-fed either because he's been over here so long. Assuming Tim Smith and Francis Meli leave at the end of the season, that still only frees up one non-fed spot.

Neither McPherson nor Meli take up a non-fed quota spot though, both are(were in Shannon's case) exempt.
Chase, Dobson, Tasi, Sau, Locke, Huaraki...assuming we keep all those that leaves one more spot! Mullaney, rapira and puletua haven't even left yet...

Is there any point too keeping Mullaney though? Evalds looks like a perfectly good full back, has the pace for the wings and you'd think could slot into the halves if injuries dictated. Let Mullaney go and there's another quota place.

We need to let Mullaney, Smith & one other go just to get down to quota next season.

That's assuming one of the players we've signed isn't exempt in some way, or that Rangi isn't. These exemptions make it difficult to work out who your non-fed players are. Things would be much clearer if there weren't any.

The only exemptions from the non-fed trained quota have been players that have bean here for aeons (meli for example) and the crusaders for their first post-crusaders contract only.
There will be no exemptions for us next season unless we decide to extend melis contract for some crazy reason.
