| It says in the M.E.N that we are looking at adding a prop to the squad before the game tomorrow, this is the M.E.N after all so I will take it with a pinch of salt.
It aslo mentions Luke Adamson has joined Wigan on a 2 week trial. Now I know you should never really sign an ex player back and it's been discussed before, but with us struggling badly at the moment we need as many bodies we can get to see us through this season. Adamson until the end of the season with the option to extend if he impresses could work well for both parties IMO.

| If the MEN report is correct then obviously it will be a British/English prop.
I was quite surprised the club has gone for the 2 players that we have signed.(One a prop)
The following was quoted in the Australian press from the Huddersfield Giants CEO -
[i"The changing regulations in respect of offshore pensions have caused him significant difficulties - as I am sure it must have for other overseas players in the UK - but fortunately for him an opportunity has arisen back home which will help him going forward.''[/i[url=http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/luke-odonnell-set-to-return-to-nrl-after-release-from-huddersfield/story-e6frexnr-1226577591387Source[/url
If we are to have a 'winning mentality' then perhaps a player who has won something may help.
I see no reason to rush into things with a World Cup in October and successful players wanting a new challenge.
Long as we don't finish with the wooden spoon this campaign...
Still don't know what,if any,new criteria there will be for a Licence from 2015 - but it seems certain one Championship club at least will be joining Super League.

| Luke Adamson would reek of desperation.
He served us well.
We have moved on

O'Donnell was in his 3 rd Year for Giants so his deal would have been agreed when HMRC weren't wise to the offset wages - pension plan schemes etc . + the stronger Aus $ over the past few years will have also devalued his contract .
With our current imports, only the players agent & the club will know . but I guess they will arrive with their eyes open finance wise. how they fit in and whether they aclimatize to the NorthWest & SL remains to be seen.

| Can anyone say for certain if the Aussies are not allowed to come over and train with us before the visa's materialise or do they physically have to wait over there for the paperwork to be issued before traveling?
Also will they still be training with Manly rather than ad hoc on their own?

| Doubt the new prop will be available for tonights game as it's meant to be Griffin, would be a big improvement on what we have and for a season long loan seems like a good option.

| Could it be the case that we are looking at both? Either of these players would be an improvement on those we have with the possible exception of Macpherson. Either would come in as the first of second best prop in the squad ahead of Jewitt, Boyle, Gledhill, Neal or James.
Ideally we could get both then that would give 4 match day props of Macpherson, Jewitt, Emmitt and Griffin. Vic Mauro could then start in the second row with Dixon on the bench covering the back row positions.
Fingers crossed we can get at least one and better still both.

| Seeing as the Morley signing seems now to be dead in the water due to his injury I'd next go for Peacock as again he would add size to the front row, be an on field general and make a decent statement of intent. He might not be the youngest player but for me he'd be without doubt a player who would add the needed go forward and defensive steal for this and next season. Can't really see Leeds selling but you never know until you ask.
