[size=150I have to say that most of the amateur clubs that youth & junior teams are - and have been - running what we call "Cubs" teams (and you call Ruggaroos!) for some time now. Mini festivals where the Cubs teams (3-6 year olds) can get together with other clubs and have little "games" happened throughout last summer and will no doubt happen this summer.
Eccles, Folly Lane, Langworthy and (I think) Cadishead already run Cubs teams. So Ruggaroos aren't really innovative, but is something that the amateur clubs throughout Lancashire & Yorkshire have been offering for a while now.
And, more importantly, the costs at these amateur clubs are minimal. [/size

I totally agree with you mate some of the coaching at these amatures RL clubs is a joke, a lot of the coaches have family interests in there teams (sons, nephews) most coaches are only at the minimal level 1 grade which is basically turn up and answer a few questions in a classroom. Being taught by clubs like Wigan and Leigh who have first class RL coaches is miles better in my opinion, they know what is and isn't good for the kids and can give advice to parents regarding skill to learn at home and excersise. Great idea my son is not quite 2 yet but next year sounds good to me!
