| Another week coming to an end and there has still been no public appeal for pledges/funds from the club to supporters. This is despite players not being paid and a friendly that Salford had assured Leigh only yesterday was going ahead, now being called off. Even at the meeting I believe it was only when the meeting was being wrapped up that Wilky finally disclosed how much we need, and this was after being prompted by a frustrated supporter.
What is the plan/way forward to raise funds? Do we have one? Or is it all going to be co-ordinated behind Salfords facebook page.
Something doesn't add up. We are desperate for money yet the only pleas for financial support that I have read in the press is coming from the supporters.
Surely 'Sir John' doesn't think he can string it out til the start of the season in the hope that the RFL will have no option other than to bail us out?

| Isn't there a winding up petition being heard in early January .
If there are no assets and the bank accounts are frozen then surely that means that 1914 Limited will be wound up?
The reality is that it's impossible to imagine even 10% of the stated amount required being raised in the available time,or at all really,so maybe JW doesn't want supporters to lose money down a black hole

Then we as supporters need to know what we are to do? Either we let the club die or there as to be some clear plan & a meeting of supporters, for me Forever reds seems to be the vehicle to mobilise this?

| Well intentioned but ,bearing in mind that the winding up hearing is soon and we have Christmas in the mix,it makes more sense to see what happens than to try and second guess what we're dealing with.

I agree but the message needs getting out to the supporters, with Christmas & the winding up petition due to be heard on the 7th of January I understand waiting, however we need to start planning for the future. The future maybe very different & it will only happen if supporters get together ready for what we all believe Salford 1914 Ltd is no longer viable.

| 'We' have no Plan.
JW has no Plan
The Board has no Plan
The Coaches and players are unable to Plan
The fans only Plan is to see what comes next, somewhere between limping along and liquidation.
The only bright note from my point of view, is that my first game watching Salford was at home, (Our proper home that is), against Dewsbury in the Championship if front of 1800 fans. That game and that season were more enjoyable than all four years under MacRae and all the debacle since. If we have to start as a new club in NL2, well so be it.
If it's good enough for Glasgow Rangers, its good enough for Salford. I'd be more prepared to support our Club with all our debts written off and a new team and management in place than the current jokers in charge being bailed out.
Come On you Reds.........................Hopefully, the club will assume a new identity and embrace more of our esteemed history. Salford Red Devils for example!

| The plan?
'This time next year Rodders we'll be millionaires'
If we are to go into liquidation I hope whoever is looking at coming in petitions the RFL
To stay in SL as to drop down would I'm affraid be a death sentence to the club and I'd think we'd loose use of the stadium which would be disasterous.

| It's use of the stadium that's caused your problem and yet you want to stay there.....that's clever thinking. As for staying in SL,bad move since without good money you'll be whipping boys.

Very very sad but true.Sir John,if this is true about players and staff not being paid, why did he state that everyone bar one had been paid.I suppose in his defence he never said anything about this months money being paid but he was referring to last months wages. So part of this 600,000k will pay staff for this month? or is that another add on? Can anybody really believe what he is saying anymore? Salford RL Club won`t fade away, the fans will see to that,i just wish the Management would.

| For all what JW's done to keep the club going over the years, all he's going to be remembered for is knocking our spiritual home down and ending our club and that's the truth of the matter.

The above statement has been issued from Forever Reds, if anyone would like to help in any way it will be much appreciated.
Due to people having commitments with Christmas looming we have not been able to set a convenient time to all meet as yet although we have spoken/emailed & we hope to meet ASAP to co-ordinate a strategic plan to help Salford city Reds rugby to hopefully remain in SL. As soon as this happens we can have a meeting for interested supporters to attend who wish to help or pledge monies to the SOS fund.

| Creditable.
We still need to know how the winding up order concludes and whether this leads to administration ,or flushing out Peels intentions, before anyone knows what the strategy needs to be.
Raising money might well be the easier challenge, where to target the cash will be the bit that requires more thought.
