I don't care if he is 20 stone, I've been fed up for years of seeing our lightweight pack being pushed around. I'm sure he can do a lot of damage in 15 minute spells. More importantly, he's just the fellow to get the crowd AND team lifted when he comes on.

Feka is genuinely one of the nicest blokes I have ever met and he will be a massaive PR tool for you.

He was never used correctly and as a big bloke should only be used as high impact and in that capacity he is brilliant!!

Close to the line and fresh on from the bench not many can stop him.

What people are saying is Madge did'nt want that kind of player at Wigan and wanting Feka to get fitter have more time play and in essence become the player he is not - hence the change and Fek signing for Salford.

Is is obvious he has put the weight back on and Sunday was not his best game. Doesn't mean BACKLASH!

Thats my opinion anyway and read it as you will.

He will - give him time and you'll see - just hope he is utilised correctly.

We will need to use him by not using him at times like wigan use to do so the oppositon defence has to bunch up this will leave big big gaps on the edges if we get the ball there quick enough.

For me there isnt much point giving him the ball from a one out pass, our attacking shape wasnt deep enough and he got swalloed up too easy, i was hoping with Alker not at the ruck this may have changed but not looking like it has at the moment, still there is still time to get a grip on it.

He'll have to come from deep and its going to have to be a bit cleaver round the ruck to make sure he isnt running into brick walls all the time, He's like a BMW Baynes in Many ways we are just going to have to learn how to use him correctly.

Just to add to that, we were against what is perhaps the fastest line speed defence in British RL. Of course, we could help ourselves by adding a little bit of depth when running up but I doubt we'll face a defence as solid and quick as Wigan's again this year. (Other than when we play Wigan of course.)

Maguire had him down a supossed 18st last pre-season , but his best seasons for Wigan he was tipping the scales at 21st , but if you check any of his best runs , he's also fed the ball [ufrom deep [/u, not passed the ball flat with the oppositions defence in his face .

People will do their research on how to stop Feka just like Wigan did, they will know they will need to spot him in the line and get to him quick to stop his momentum if he gets a 5 yard run at it he'll get Into 3rd gear and make an easy 10 yards.

For me is get him returning the kickoff he'll get a good 10 yard run up he'll be running into a wall but its all about ball security in that scenario can he keep hold of it?

With him and cashmere we now have the size to wear down and knock over a defence its down to the individual intelligence to run @ the right angle and the right defender which means better service round the tuck better organization from our players being in the right position and not mooching around in back field

Jeez the guy has played 1 friendly and is getting match fit! I will reserve judgment for when the judging matters! Fantastic signing for us and will become a real cult hero with the shed.

Wigan fans can say they're glad to have rid of Feka, but one thing Wigan did was stick Feka, Smith, Holdsworth under too much pressure so they can't perform... We'll see how bad Feka supposedly is when he runs over the rest of the teams in the Super League.

I commented on his minutes per game and weight.
Lima's minutes per game have been far in excess of Feka's for the past few seasons. Feka was supposed to be around the 18st mark last year and he looked huge compared to then on Sunday.

As for a backlash. It wasn't a backlash when Wigan fans cheered him when he came into the game from the bench. They also cheered him when he was stood behind the sticks and he waved back.
Wigan fans also chanted "He's one big Feka!" a couple of times too.

Get him right and he could be a real asset for you. Salford are now building a good spine to the team with Patten at FB, Ratchford and Smith HB, Houldsworth maybe at 13 and Wagga playing 9. A good spine and a good pack will be a side worth watching.
Get yourselves a top class coach and you could finally be in business when you start at your new place. Hope so as the rest of us have had to wait far too long for the next great Salford team.

Anyone remember the successful Steve Nash to Mal Yates disguised, reverse, flick pass move of the early 80's? Despite the opposition knowing all about the move it was very hard to stop near the try line. I think Mal Yates scored something like 19 tries one season which is unbelievable for a prop. With Feka's size and power he could benefit like Yates did from running hard on to this kind of a pass.
