Salford coach Shaun McRae said:
"I never saw that coming. Too many players were off colour. We were passive defensively from the outset, which is not like us, and we never really recovered.
"We are a club that can't afford to have too many guys out and the five missing would make the 17, but it wasn't players coming into the team who didn't perform.
"We just have to put it down to [u one of those days. [/u It hasn't happened to me too often and it feels a bit humiliating in many respects.
"All you can do is respond. We have a week off next week and a chance maybe to get some of those players back."

| I'm sure he'll get abused for some part of that but actually think he's right.
Doesn't make me feel any better though, nor does it convince me that the team will respond against Saints (or that McRae is capable of making them do so).

| I think you answer your own questions! Not capable of motivating the team. I was shocked watching from home on the television, you see things you don't see when at the game. I did not go yesterday because I am already committed to Perpignan & could not afford both, at least going to Perpignan we will be able to enjoy the sunshine.
McRae & Simms looked lost, even when we scored a try, it was also clear the team looked a beaten team when entering the field of play, that's down to the motivation of the coach.
I heard we are good with ball in hand, how many times do we have ball in hand, I was at Cas last week, it was the same, I put that down to the long trip from France.
The coach stands & falls by results! the players don't come out with there head held high, looking at yesterdays team I only counted 4 players who I believed would walk into a current super league team.
No I don't have any answers, Yes I will keep supporting the club, but I do feel the club needs to do something.

| Is it sad that I found some comfort that we didn't have the biggest losing margin of the weekend, thanks to HKR?!

| We were simply shocking and there is no getting around that. People can blame McRae all they want but the players let themselves down big time on Saturday. Yes Warrington were good, and you cant take that away from them, but the effort, committment and desitre just wasnt there from most of the players.

| I actually feel for you as fans. I can well remember wires having a poor team in the not to distant past and going myself to matches knowing that we would lose and the only real question was by how many? Thankfully we have now passed that phase. Maybe one day Salford will too?
