If it is for the training just goes to show how right the Doc is about needing to own the facilities at Barton and making use of them for our own needs.

Looks like there's the best part of a million due to Wilkinson or Wilkinson-owned companies (admittedly a bit of guesswork there). Add in the cooncil and Peel and you can't be far away.

On the Leigh forum,apart from some unhappy postings,they mention our players using the facilities today.

Someone will have to explain to me how the debt would hope to be erased after a loan from the council and another season in Super League,at the SCS,with 2k attendances.

Mightily pleased the outcome is what has occurred,despite the loss of players and a coach.

In fact, if you add up Peel, the cooncil, Wilkinson, Paul Snape and everything that looks like a Wilkinson venture you get 76% of the total. Which is convenient.

If that's the case that's shocking, the only way I can see us still using the facilities is if we have a contract for the season to do so or if the joint venture company are not letting us use Barton.

To me we need to at the very least be training on the pitches outside or if possible inside the stadium to get used to the wind that blows down the ship canal and creates a bit of a swirl inside the stadium.

Highton (i think) said at the last FR meeting that the grass community pitch is prone to waterlogging and isn't really fit for purpose as a training venue.

Do not see any claims for the players we are supposed to owe money to - have they been paid?

On top of losing 20-25k from the missed friendly, SCR now owe LSV 138k. Wow.

I've nothing against the SCR fans, but the club has screwed Leigh over big time and can go to hell for me.

Surely Leigh & LSV are separate entities? As for going to hell I long since felt that about Leigh so at least the feeling is mutual.

Over reaction - the whole point of the CVA from the Doctors perspective is to pay the creditors 100% in the pound.

Leigh have gone bust 3 times so far leaving a trail of unpaid debt.

The documents came with a warning that they are confidential, they should not be published and,if they were,this may constitute an illegal act.
I'm not a lawyer so I don't know how we'd stand.

Let me get this right. Are you saying the Salford Star could potentially face legal action for ignoring the warning and publicly displaying the details of a CVA document on the web? And if the documents are confidential how did the SS get hold of them? Surely they aren't that stupid to just publish them without knowing what the legal implications could be?

The Salford Star can do what it wants,as can the person leaking the documents.
They clearly state that they are confidential and publication may be illegal,and I assume therefore a criminal offence.

I believe their crusade against the local council and Peel is indirectly killing our club and arguably our fanbase. Following this logic, were Leigh screwing themselves over 'big time' when they couldn't afford the rent in the early days of the LSV?

OK I accept 'killing' is a slight exaggeration, but it doesn't help having the club continually being dragged through the mud at every opportunity does it? (Because of the clubs past support from the council) You must admit all this negative publicity in this magazine over the past 2-3 years isn't going to help to attract new or lapsed support.

Can anyone in the know please enlighten me on how the Schedule of Creditors (Appendix111) of the documents sent out by ICS to shareholders shows a figure of £9600 owed to Leigh Sports Village whereas the figure quoted by some is £138000 ?

The difference in the amounts could be as simple as one is the scheduled amount the company thinks they owe and the amount that is actually owed.
