| Reds you have a lovely new ground and as a Leyther I am looking forward to coming next week. May even become a casual visitor when we are not playing if I can park safely for free. You are going to have a bit of a bumpy first couple of seasons at the new place just like we have but all I can say is it will be more than worth it. Our place is only just starting to feel like home and the company who run the stadium are just starting to reallise that they need to talk to our club as equals for everything to work.
Both parties won't be use to this . The new management team for the stadium and you not being used to just being tenants. All I would say is never let it become an us and them situation as has been reported was happening at Leigh.
It has taken the near demise of our club for the LSV Co to sit up and listen.
Chins up Reds and good luck for this season.

The 10 grand will include food and possibly a higher match cost than just a ticket , so youd have to adjust your maths a bit , more likely 50% of the total to the club'"
If football hospitality is anything to go by you rent you box for £x per season and then pay for all your meals and drinks on top.
My first impression of the stadium in the main is very positive but I feel the reception/ hospitality areas are very bland and need some large wall pictures to brighten it up. A few people I spoke to said they preferred the feel of the Willows hospitality more than the greyscale contemporary look of the new place. Due to it's high ceiling, shear size and amount of glass I thought the large function room felt like an airport terminal without the gate numbers. Another recommendation would be some sofa's near the two bar areas.

| I have to disagree the hospitally looks modern and clean,Sharp and spacious rather than the willows that looked dated, old school, like it was stuck in the 70/80s all cuddled up
We want to attract investors and new fans alike then this is the way to go.

I don't disagree with what you are saying I was just saying what some were saying to me. I can understand what they meant and in my opinion some finishing touches like pictures and sofa's would help break up the blandness. Perhaps they already have these things planned but they weren't ready for the 27th.

| Think someone needs to look at installing better sticks as despite there being very little wind yesterday they were all over the place, they looked not to be a solid construction.
Was very impressed inside in general and thought that the security staff seemed genuinely helpful, but do think the scoreboard needs to be much bigger.
A friend pointed something out that when say Warrington, Wigan or any of the other big teams come the North stand is not going to be anywhere near big enough for them, where will the balance of the supports go??

No I disagree the floodlights look good, think you mean when there was the issue with them going out, that was a genuine hiccuough and exactly why they have these ramp up games in the first place.

| I thought it was great! You can see they will add extra tiers to the other stands if they extend it! With regards to the scoreboard, they are putting a screen in the corner that will show replays so presume that will also show the score!

| Got the bus from the willows, great till we got to the traffic lights at the Unicorn pub, took about 20 minutes if not longer, to get past the motorway roundabout, once past it was smooth to the ground.
The problem if we get big gates, traffic coming of the motorway will cause a jam on Liverpool road, possibly need traffic lights at the roundabout
Was sat in the west stand got cold and moved to the south stand out of the wind. stood at the back but not high enough. good banter in there. Everything O.K except for the performance on the field, same old same.
See the Trialists were Vievers and Howath, but no better than what we already have, should be signing better than what we have.
I have a season ticket and have bought a ticket for the Wigan game but I think I'll miss the Halifax game

Are they? I know that's where the screen will go for Sky games, but I didn't know there was going to be a permanent screen.

| Yeah apparently so, think traffic situation will improve once that area gets done up. Fingers crossed. Was delighted on my way out to see a Leigh fan in a 4x4 try and take a short cut and que jump only to get stuck in a mound of dirt. Brilliant those 4x4's aren't they. Nothing like karma!

Each terrace is supposed to hold 2500. I'm not convinced. They look about half the size of the stand that we usually go in at Warrington.

We were discussing this at the game yesterday and I can't see either terrace holding much more than 2,000. I'd fully expect Wigan/Saints/Warrington to get half of the East Stand as well to take it up to a c4,000 allocation, which is quite possible for their first visit etc.

What is the capacity of the terrace at LSV?
Also, what's the concourse like in our North Stand? Is it a single open concourse at that end (and were they stopping you lot from standing on teh back step too?)?

Think the North Stand at LSV is 3,000ish and it's much 'deeper' than the terraces at SCS (can see that just by the amount of terracing above the exits at Leigh when compared to Salford along with how much rows of crush barriers there are).
The full stand was open as far as I could see, but again it is an open concourse so it feels almost outdoor when in the toilets with it not having a ceiling as such. The toilets in that stand are on the side furthest from the terracing though so not sure if the peeping tom issue exists (I'd guess not because I'm sure someone would have spotted it )

The LSV north stand is a full 4,000 capacity, it is that that took the stadium up to 12,000 , from the original all seated 10,000

| I have to say on a very cold wet and windy day or night there is no where to get away from the elements or get warm in the north stand the wind was bellowing through on sunday and it was just as cold under the stand as it was on the terrace. Not a very good design which could put away supports off returning even though it's better than the Willows.

They aren't brand new stadia. Plus the view even from the back of the stand is below average. I have to say, to put all the money into one huge stand is a bit daft but thats just my unbiased honest opinion. when I come to watch you lot as a casual fan I will be sitting in the comfort of the west stand. Oh one other thing whoever posted that the ground is out by 45degrees is nearly right It's about 25 to 30 out . I took my compass and my sunpath and if you are in the north stand on matchdays with kickoff times like last saturdays you will need a sun visor.

ok but take your comments up with Salford City Council/Peel Holdings - the joint developers of the stadium

Isn't the view from the first 10 rows of terracing the same kind of view as every other stadium in the universe? How can it be below average?
It's surely a better view compared to the flat standing area behind the posts at the Willows end where many fans used to stand. You are obviously not aware that the lower level terracing is only phase 1 and the foundations are already in place for the second tier. (Whether this ever gets built is another question)

| I'm not a Salford fan I am a Leyther it's upto you lot to do that. On the plus side it is lovely big playing area and the lack of advertising hoarding down the sides gives it a nice open feel. I wish they would get rid of them at our place as they are an eyesore because they are nearly all empty.

| Must admit I thought the view would be a little better, where I was stood the bar on the posts was eye level for me when I stood I was stood on the top row and it obstructed my view several times, having said that maybe that’s more to do with me being vertically challenged than the stand itself. The wind yesterday was bad and even under the stand there was no protection from it. Are the big gaps at the top of the stands going to be used for advertising boards, or are they planning on keeping them open as it just looks stupid. I presume there will be advertising boards around the side of the pitch too. One things for sure though I hope the players aren’t to sensitive this season as when we are getting stuffed at home they can here everything that’s going to be shouted.
