| Just following up my earlier comment about Jon Ford. While Ford played for the England Academy, MCB played for the England students. Most would see the Academy as, by far, the more professional and capable team.
MCB got into Super League because Broncos were desperate for players. He's shone in a poor team but good luck to the lad.
Nevertheless, what makes the coaching staff at SRD believe he is any better than Ford, who has been with club for the last 5 years and has shone at every level he has been given the chance to play?

MCB is flavour of the month, Ford isn't.

I think Ford is on a DR with Owen at Sheffield.
Evalds was brought back and tookhis chance .
MCB was thrown in at London last season got 20+ appearances and scored enough tries to get him noticed. He is also a year ir two older than Jon.

As I understand it Ford went to North Wales Crusaders earlier this year and in May went back to Oldham [url=http://www.roughyeds.co.uk/news/ford-boost-for-scotts-men/LINK[/url
He scored a try at the weekend,at Gateshead.
Ford is still contracted to Salford.
MCB has spent some time on loan at Hemel Stags and played in Championship 1 last year.

| Mason Caton-Brown looks more like a Super League player at the moment than Jon Ford, in terms of physical stature.
Still deserves a crack though.

I think you'll find the age difference is less than 6 months.

| Evalds came back, took his chance, and showed the club what he can do.
There are injuries in RL: our backs will get injured and so then Ford will be able to show what he can do and give us a selection headache.
Three months ago we had a different selection headache in our centres/wingers: no choice.

| Find it odd we apparently wont me playing MCB this weekend, Castleford is a game we can win and would be a boost heading over too Huddersfield for another game that with momentum is winnable, throw in Locke arriving any day now and the two Hull games become possibilities too.
MCB should have had 4 or 5 training sessions by the weekend so for me should be considered, you should always pick the best starting 13 possible.

| It's a tricky one this because we don't know if Ford is ready because he hasn't played at this level. MCB has and he's proved he can score lots of tries. All we know about Ford is that he was exceptional at academy level and was selected for England a couple of years back. It must be frustrating for the lad because several of his England colleages now have Superleague experience.
To name a few: Joe Burgess, Ben Currie, John Bateman, Tom Gilmore, Liam Sutcliffe, Jordan Baldwinston, Jack Owens, Mark Percival, Stevie Ward, Luke Thompson etc.

MCB Played the last two games of the 2013 for London Broncos , scoring 3 trys in 2 games and has been an ever present this season.
Jon Ford started this season DR at Sheffield in CC but has now dropped down to CC1 back at Oldham.
as my previous comment about fate & opportunity.
MCB took his opportunity to get into the Broncos side , & has now again taken his chance to forge his career with us.
I hope Jon Ford does the same .

| Josh Griffin had 4 weeks training and has a contract till the end of the season.
Jon Ford is still training with SRD and is shown in the latest image on the official website which promotes the Forces game later in the year.
I certainly think Iestyn Harris gives youngsters a chance judging by his selection choices at international level.

| I could mention Will Hope being on the pitch,warming-up,at the HJ last week and - [iOn loan back rower Will Hope was pulled back by his parent club Salford Red Devils last weekend and may not be available for Sunday’s home game against Halifax[/i - but I will stop it there.
Surprised no one has mentioned young Hull FC hooker,on loan at London, the one who fronted-up to Gareth Hock down there in February, who is shown on the BBC try of the week doing a reasonable impersonation of Greg Johnson in scoring a try from dummy-half.
Hull FC are always on the look out for half backs and as this thread has mentioned a hooker...
