Went over Barton today. Both stands behind the sticks are in full flow now. As Iain had mentioned to me at Hudds the terracing in place behind the sticks is roughly about 15 steps deep. The main stand looks HUGE! as you go over the bridge. However when you see the other stands next to it I don't think it will look as bad as some people think it will be.
What ever happens as Booby would say " HAPPY DAYS FELLA " I got a sense of excitement when I saw it. I can't wait to watch the lads run out onto the pitch there for our first game in the new stadium.

It's all fenced off but it is a fairly easy jib over the see through fence. |

Drove over today too, I agree the main stand did look like it would dwarf the rest but now it's starting to look a lot more even. Is there just one terrace like at the Lobbydome?

When you view from that angle OK the end stands are obviously smaller but they still look impressive.

Just the way they build them , they use the rear as a counterweight for the roof , look at the LSV , also they were apparently putting in footings big enough to take phase 2/3 , if you'll ever need them
Anyway it should be ready in twelve months |

Looks pretty good to be honest, will be much better than HJ and LSV cheap options, they just look like lego grounds.
I wouldn't worry about the size of the ends behind the goals, probably the same size as your current away terrace but made to look small because that main stand is pretty huge, looks about the same size as our west stand. Very impressive. Can't wait for my first visit. Will be a great atmosphere in the away end behind the goals I reckon.
I usually hope for a huge home game to start off with for the fixtures but next season I hope our first game is Salford away!

The extra long depth of the end stands is due to the foundations being done at this stage for phase 3. The phase 3 drawings show and second tier of seating above the existing standing section. But for this the depth of those end stands would be about half what is seen in the Walshy's photo.

I'd say the stands behind the sticks are similer size to our current main stand at the willows maybe a tad bigger? Their just made to look smaller by that huge west stand. |
