'"
No they can't kick us out as we do own a percentage of the stadium, although like Salford we have no say over who can use the facilities, at least we will get our percentage of any proffits made let them come I say.
As for being associated with winners are you seriously putting Salford in the winners bracket.

It will and we (the fans) need to learn from what the Leigh fans have been through in the first couple of years at the LSV to ensure that our transition to the new stadium is smooth.

Tis true, but I was referring more to the problems Leigh RLFC fans have had, when it was meant to be 'their' stadium (hence the comparisons with our new place).
There was an awful lot of tension between the LSV management and the club/fans over matchday experience, treatment of fans, etc. and it's take a good couple of years to get over that.
I just hope that someone from Salford gets in touch with them and tries to avoid simiar issues at Barton.

Oh ok. By this do you mean LSV management enforced a typically corporate style product with over efficient stewards who nit-pick over every minor H&S infringemnet? i.e., one toe on a yellow line, standing in seated areas and such like.
Which leads me to another question. Anybody know if there will be a standing area? Something that was included in the first design at the request of a large section of fans who've stayed loyal to the club for a very long time.

O/T.
Ive just got back from Leigh having watched them play Fax this afternoon. Their stewards were well organised, polite and extremely helpful. Nothing like the mob handed crew at the willows who cant wait to shift you out of the ground as soon as the final hooters gone!

| I too went to the LSV today. It's a fantastic stadium. I loved it. It's perfect. I don't understand the shoe-box jokes either or the digs at the lack of atmoshphere. I had a really great day today and the stadium experience made it so.

Bring your socket wrench set to the first game just incase its all seated, and by the end of the first half there will be a rather large standing area

| I've had another quite frankly brilliant idea
As next year will hopefully be the last at the Willows the club will be missing a trick if they don't market the fact.
They need to produce a special commemorative season ticket for next season.
Give next years ST holders the benefit of being given a piece of the turf and some other form of memorabilia come the end of the season.
Give ST holders an option to maybe purchase something of say greater value from the ground, I can see the KOTS household with a nice Post in the back garden as a centre piece.
And there will i'm sure be a past players and dignatories special event in the variety centre which if marketed right could be open also to season ticket holders.
I'm pretty certain there are a million other ways to generate revenue next season on the coat tails of the new ground, let's just hope the powers that be look into them.

I own a key ring with the message "The Willows 1901-2009" and have three car stickers with the same message.
We've tempted fate once...

| I was under the impression the stadium capacity had been reduced to 15,000 but the new application shows 20,000???
[iFull application for the erection of: a 20,000 capacity community stadium with associated integrated facilities including offices, players facilities, hospitality, concessions and community, executive and media rooms to be constructed in 3 phases; two outdoor sports pitches, (one grass and one artificial); community changing facility; and new access off Liverpool Road together with associated car parking and landscaping.

| Isn't this where the 15'000 & 20'000 capacity comes from, 15'000 seats and 5'000 standing?

That design is a little out of date I believe. The design released last month was somewhat different.

| I have always enjoyed standing at matches but have recently found that sitting is much easier with 2 children under the age of 4. At the Willows we have a family stand which is a free seated area (albeit behind the away supporters; major flaw I believe but hey ho!)
My question is this. When we move to Barton are the ticket prices going to be different for those who wish to sit down? I fully understand all of you who want to remain on your feet and your calls for the standing area are fine by me. But I would be a bit miffed if the current situation where I can choose to stand or sit at no extra cost was taken away just because it's a new ground!

You're privileged that The Willows operates this policy for the North Stand. It's generally the case that seating is slightly more expensive than standing (ground admission) where available. You'd have to expect to pay between £1-5 more per seat. To be honest, I wouldn't mind paying the same price as the lowest priced seat to stand.
The reasons behind this could be that seats cost more to maintain or they that were always seen as the luxury option before Hillsborough. It may be more likely that the pricing is a hangover from 110 years ago, when Archibald Leitch — architect of many football grounds of the time — devised a formula that for every person which sat, two could stand; therefore, the seated would pay a premium. That mantra doesn't really apply today but you can see why many stadia still tier its pricing in such a way.
