With the stadium company being in charge of normal ticket sales and giving out the attendance figure, yet the club selling the hospitality tickets separately, I wonder if this is where the potential discrepancy comes in with regards to the published crowd figures? Let's face it the communication between club and stadium on most issues is virtually non existent so it wouldn't be a surprise.
Bizarrely Mr Vickers on twitter stated the stadium capacity is 10308, yet the listed record attendance is an alleged 11247 for Sale vs Leicester.
Quote="Mr Scholes."According to someone who works with the foundation that figure didn't include the 1k in hospitality. Add that on and 7.6k is probably about right.'"
We're bringing in 1000 guests for hospitality? I find that hard to believe.

On the stadium website it shows the capacity at 11500 but why build a stadium less than 12K when it was the minimum criteria for a Superleague licence? The council and Peel, penny-pinching perhaps to save on a couple of rows of concrete? It would be interesting to know what figure was in the lease agreements between the SMC and the clubs?
All these links show 12K but has it just been a smokescreen?
