Quote ="Chris Dalton"Seems pretty logical to me. They opened it as they anticipated a large away following, which turned up. But if it isn't open every week how can they issue season tickets for it?
What exactly is wrong with the West stand? And why give the away fans a standing only terrace? Is our money not as good as yours? That does my head in. Places like Bradford where the home fans are sat underneath a covered stand and the away fans are huddled together in the pouring rain. No need for it.'"
The Widnes following didn't appear to be any different than Warrington,Wigan,St Helen's etc in numbers.
There is nothing wrong with the west stand and it makes it more interesting when the fans mix at matches.
I think that you will agree that wherever you sit or stand at Salford City Stadium you get a better seat or standing position than you get at many other grounds and you are always in a covered section.
The problem for the Salford fans is that many were sold season tickets for the east stand only to be told at short notice that they had to move elsewhere.
