No real comment to add but thought it was a post worth repeating in the hope some of our fans understand as you have some of the troubles we've encountered.

Might sound like sour grapes, but facts are facts, certain clubs have promised over and over again and still nothing has happened. The reality is these clubs need to be worried next time around because the RFL cannot afford another media C~~~ up with the franchise applications and the expansion area trick is wearing thin with no real progress with crowd levels.

Apart from that the Twickenham orientated media did not care if Widnes or Fazackerley Clogdancing Rugby League team did not get in; they are fixated by Football and Rugby Union , "but facts are facts"

Let's put this carefully: Salford is not in an expansion area. There used to be a Manchester Cup. "But facts are facts".

I see Wakefield are going for the same funding streams we tried ie Hotel, shops, restaurant etc, the hotel only is small according to the BBC with 15 beds. All our plans for this funding disappeared, even though there is no spare capacity for hotel beds in the Greater Manchester Area especially when United are at home and more are needed. But good luck to Wakefield, just hope Castleford don't put an objection in or a medievil site is found on site, or is that modern across the border.
