Half back is such a pivotal position that you should always make it a priority to get the very best you can afford. The difference Sezer (sp) at giants makes to that team is ridiculous. I’m not sure he’s proved to be anything but very good in the division below.

True it’s hard to make a player faster but I don’t see any reason why his skills can’t improve dramatically with experience. If that were not the case Wakefield wouldn’t still be in SL, polishing rough diamonds is what we do and we do it well.

Always rated Finn. Not quick, but unlike Lilley, he can defend. A far better rugby brain too. No comparison.

Connor Bailey is a better prospect than Lilley and, I hope, will be better than Finn too (there a "better" players than Finn, who would die to have the career he has had).

If they were as good or better than Finn they would have had as good or a better career than him. What you say makes no sense to me.

Yes, he has some good games but, he's also had some shockers, especially when he was at Leeds.
As with most newcomers at the big clubs, he was lauded as a future superstar but, unfortunately he wasn't anything close.
Comments, comparing his pace with that of Finn are ridiculous, especially as Finn is what, 10 years + older and Finn succeeded with his guile and brain and
a damn good kicking game.
Not saying he's a bad player but, if your going to have a young HB, he wants to have some pace.
As others have suggested, pace can not be manufactured, you either have it or, you dont.
Many other skills will improve but, over the course of time, pace goes one way, slower.

Still only 23 I think Fisher is right, he's under the right guidance with JK and might be picked up by a SL side in the coming years however I hope we're not the ones to sign him.

When saying there are "better" players than Finn (and I put it in quotation marks in my post), who haven't had the career he has, I am agreeing with YOUR assertion that he is under-rated.

Anyone would have looked good against us that day, we were awful. Bulls played their CF that day and still lost which makes me think that they were ordinary and we made them look better than what they were. Good half’s don’t come round regular so agree that Lilley is playing in the right team in the championship.
