Have the RFL decided on the Championship GF venue yet

Given it could easily be between Toronto and Toulouse , do they go neutral or highest placed finalist ?

Should be safe having at Leigh!

Should be highest ranked team at home, as it was with the million pound game.

That didn't go down too well for you did it, but maybe second time around you might get lucky, fingers crossed eh

It's a grand final so a neutral venue like Headingley or Warrington just like it always was.

Which goes against one of the reasons for bringing it back , which was to have a major end of season ' event ' game for neutrals and fans of the clubs involved

Having it at one of the participants stadia gives only 6 days to sell

Is it safe to assume that the RFL will manage to announce a neutral venue with more than a weeks notice?

From memory, it was always at Headingly, right? A cracking venue, although perhaps too big now. Warrington is a great rugby ground and would be a great fit.

As others have said, too short notice to sell tickets.

It doesn't really matter about the fans anyway, modern sport is all about advertising demographics and prawn sandwich sales. Stuff the actual fans.
Seriously though, we will be heading for another Wembley situation and IF the game is held in France / Canada or England, just how many fans are going to gamble on their club making the final and book flights and accommodation.

Gigg Lane Bury 2000, then to Widnes after they got promoted in 2001 , Warrington in 2006 ,Headingley in 2007 , then Warrington again till 2014 which was Headingley again

Reykjavik......a truly multinational sport would take their showpiece game and spread the good word to Iceland

Neutral venue is obviously right, but it is fair to say Toronto V Toulouse shouldn't really be played in northern England. Not much option though really, as that would still be better than Featherstone V Halifax being played in France.

Option 1. Announce the game, make it an event and market it all season through the 14 champ and 12 SL clubs
Option 2. Leave it until the last minute and then offer discount codes and reduced prices....

Yet another predicament for the Global RFL....

It’s a final, it should be on neutral ground. Pick Canada, Leigh, France or Santiago as long as the final is fair, neutral and known in advance..... everything’s fine.... you know, Like sport should be.

Wish we could have played in the GF last year at home.
