So he left Leigh because he wanted to play Super League, then ends up signing for Fev less than a month before the season starts? Genius! Good signing for Fev if they can keep him focused

not a bad team for fev this season, ridyard and hock should go well

If (IF!) he behaves himself this could be a very good signing for Fev - a club I've always had a lot of time for.

Fantastic signing for Fev! He would walk into a team of Wakefield’s calibre so Fev must be overjoyed

Just what I was thinking too

Hock tidied up his act and went well for Leigh. He was unfortunate with injuries, So it's good luck to Gaz from me.

I know Wakefield have had a history of signing 'projects' but I don't think even we would touch Hock with a barge pole. In all fairness, Hock is probably more overjoyed to be playing with Fev. He's been a dead loss for years now.

He knows that he's just fishing as usual.

No he hasn't....

He has I'm afraid - when you look at what players of similar ability like Ellis or Burgess have achieved it's pretty pathetic really.

Hock had all the skills and ability to be among the world's top players. Unfortunately, when god was giving out brains, Hock thought he said drains and he got a blocked one.

Hopefully they don't use the same HR adviser as Shudds... that was an expensive one.

Championship looks class this year, would be more than happy for Sky to cut a SL game and broadcast a Championship game every week.

I would love to go back to SL Friday and Saturday night and have a Championship game on the Thursday night.. Just me been greedy



I think with your Leigh, Toronto, Fev etc it will be just like watching a SL game with the speed of the game etc where as i used to enjoy the occasional Championship games a few years back were they were all semi-pro, it was completely different to SL but enjoyable in its own right (For me anyway!).

Thursday nights don't work for PT clubs and fans of all. Sunday 5pm would be ideal

I don't see any reason why Premier and the RFL can't approach Sky to see if they can sort out a deal to show one Champ game a week, on a Sunday afternoon, exactly the same way they are showing the Leigh v Toronto game.
Would Sky really care that much? I doubt it.

Of course he would - I'd much rather have him than Ashurst, Horo, Kirmond, Batchelor....

Hock's only downfall was himself and he will realise this one day

I’ve only heard of Ashurst out of those names and he struggled to get in Saints reserve team

Gareth Hock was good for Leigh during the second half of his three year stint there. Mid way through the 'promotion' season, he apparently had the riot act read to him, and he really became more disciplined. Last season, in SL, he had a few outstanding games, but his problem, (along with the other 'experienced' squad members) was that he couldn't raise his game consistently, and he suffered a number of injuries.

I think his dream of one more season in SL was just that - a dream. Providing he can steer clear of injury, and he maintains his discipline, he could well be a huge asset to Featherstone.
