| Greatest in CC final history?
Great tries and attacking play are often remembered, rarely defence.

| It was a great tackle but Currie should've still held onto the ball regardless and slide over

| Warrington should have been out of sight really, but credit to Hull for sticking at it, yes Houghton was the best player on the field, but Sneyd's kicks were the turning point of the game, which was probably why he got the MOM

I agree, he put in a full 80 mins of gutsy play.

| Wire weren't managing to get to Sneyd in the second half like they did in the first, but it was a credit to him that he stuck at it and produced some really big plays.
Houghton had to be MotM, though, and must surely be no worse than second in the England pecking order? He was a bloody superman out there.

| I also thought Clark was excellent to be fair, and with the ball probably better than Houghton.

| A great rugby moment. The pure determination of Houghton probably defies what Hull FC are about this season.
Great effort to put Currie off.

It was a fantastic effort but, Wire scored from the next play.
Houghton's effort won Hull the game (or more precisely, stopped Warrington winning).

| Magnificent moment for he, Hull and the competition. After that I simply couldn't begrudge Hull that trophy, not that I could beforehand. Brilliant, honest game where every player gave their all. No niggles, no fighting, just straight laced play from each man made for an enthralling game. That tackle will be a part of this competitions history forever now. It's funny, because had the pitch been just a little bit wet, Currie would have kept tighter hold of that and slid over regardless of the tackle. As it were, bone dry pitch and the ball sticks where it lands. Crushing for him but without his earlier try we wouldn't have been in the position to win. I'm so excited for his future in this game.

A great Cup Final moment.

Great post.
And you're right. That was one of the most physically intense games I've ever seen but also one of the cleanest. Great credit to both teams a truly classic match.

Did he have to play on his own for 10 mins
Fantastic effort though and I agree with the comments about everyone looking knackered, it showed the true meaning of being "out on your feet".
To a man, of either side, every player gave all that they possibly could.
Courage and commitment, wow !

| A fantastic effort by Houghton near the end, he seemed to put in the extra effort only afforded to a one club man.
A gripping game where either side would have been worthy winners, no grubby tactics, which helped the ref to breeze through.
Exemplary post match interview with Tony Smith, the bloke has class.
If Hull F.C. reach the G.F. maybe Radford could dip into his bonus to get a new suit & a top tooth.

The image was shown only for about 20 seconds by the BBC just after the final whistle, it was around 20 players lying or sitting down what looked like a battle field physically drained and lost in there own thoughts. There was 100% commitment from everybody.

I saw that and thought it resembled that too, stark contrast to the last few years, what warriors!

Lol, the thought of Radders in a suit doesn`t compute. The missing tooth is his trademark.

Put me in mind of when Wigan were 8-0 up in the 2013 final and Shaul made the break and Charnley came out of nowhere to make the tackle on him.
In terms of impact it had and at the time it happened, I could never say Shaul's tackle was better.
