| He had a lot of doubters and people saying he shouldn't be in the squad, but I thought he had a great game today, did enough to keep his place in the team for me.

| I agree he did alright today. Better than i expected.
However how Joel Tomkins survives is beyond me.
His poor positioning for the Australia first try was shocking.

| Ahree with all of above. Had my doubts, but Sarginson played with no fear and decided not to play conservatively.
McNamara dropped Shenton, does he have the nuts to drop Watkins? No. I think Watkins has potential to be world class. But his defence was shocking and deserves dropping. McNamara isn't ruthless enough.

| I agree Sarginson was well worth his place. Watkins, on the other hand, missed the first tackle attempt far too many times, and didn't offer enough going forward.
I genuinely don't understand what Tomkins and Farrell offer to the side. Surely Whitehead must be a shoe-in for the next match.
Hardaker has to come in to improve our attacking threat.

| Faz was pretty good I thought although I agree Joel Tomkins isn't yet ready for this level.
As for Sarginson I had my doubt because as much as I feel he'll develop in to a top class player I thought he may make a couple of errors. As it was he was superb and brought his form for us late in the year in to the game. He learnt about August time that he's allowed to pass to people in the same shirt as him and since then he's not looked back. The rest of his game is very good (heard his defence questioned which I can't agree with).

| Sargison played really well.
Watkins wasn't great on defence but had the misfortune of being alongside Smith and Joel Tomkins against Australia's major attacking threats (Jennings and Inglis). That whole right side defence was below par, but of the three I'd say Joel Tomkins's poor positioning caused us more problems than Watkins or Smith's frailties.

| Joel Tomkins offered nothing going forward any standard second-rower couldn't provide, except this is Australia and we need above average to succeed. His defense was lacking and was the weak link in the forwards. Farrell was also pretty average and I just think you need more dynamism at this level. Watkins was poor and looked shaky and Charnley didn't do much. Everyone else pretty much had good games. Thought Clarke needed more minutes and Chris Hill has really come on at this level.

| Been a fan since his london days. But isn't London professional Rl Just a joke and a complete failure.
10 million plus people in London and Home Counties we only have to tap into 1% of that to unearth half a dozen players good enough to play for England.
Took his chance well so has katy smith as well. Plus we have the likes of whitehead and hardaker who have not even got a game yet.

| His hit on Inglis right on our line was superb. It's just a shame we switched off around the PTB and let them in through that little kick.

| Watched Sargy many times when he was playing for the Broncos. His defence was always shaky but a season of Wigan (and England) coaching seems to have sorted him out. Playing in a properly structured defence will have helped as well.
Great to see him playing with such confidence too.

I always thought he could hit well in defence, but I agree his reading of the play wasn't great

| He did well today. Same problems for us, the backrow is pathetic. Farrell just isn't good enough and Tomkins is another year away from being good enough.

| Lovely flick pass to Hall.
Proved a smart signing this season and its been great to see him develop from his first match for Wigan to his performance today against the Aussies.
Should keep his place after that.

I shouldn't bite and I'm awaiting the 'but Percival has a GF ring comeback' but I will-
Metres each player made in the grand final-
Sarginson- 191 metres
Percival- 29 metres (that correct a whole 29 metres).
I wish Sarge was that far in peoples pockets every week
Anyway back on topic it's good to see him fulfilling his early potential.

| Watkins defence was rank bad awful and it wasn't because of Joel Tomkins or Matty Smith.
For the first try Tomkins overrchases in an attempt to help Watkins while Hodgeson under chases on his inside. The result is a gap behind Tomkins and in front of Hodgeson, it's a shared responsibility between those two for the error and the try.

| Did anyone on here watch the Channel 9 telecast of the game? If you did you will have heard Ray "Rabs" Warren continually mispronounce Daniel Sarginson's name as "SAAGH-inson"
Poor old Rabs is getting senile, so you cannot be too upset.
