| We're always been told that London will never be relegated because:
A) The RFL will save em by some means...
B) RL deals with SKY won't survive without a top flight team in London....
Guess we shall find out in the next few weeks !!!
Will you miss them ?
Personally i've had some good trips to the various venues over the years and met some cracking folk, genuinely knowledgeable about the game.....hope these people aren't lost with the Broncos not in Super League.

| I'm afraid the vast majority decided to give up several years ago when the club went into a coma. Successive years of no change resulted in friends giving up hope. Just the last few left as the pulse peters out.
Whether Grima can resuscitate the club is another matter. Henderson is certainly a good addition. And Grima's background with younger squads should prove beneficial. Whether he is given all the resources he needs is remains to be seen. What we need is some clarity about the ground next year and about the ownership. Currently neither are clear.

| Pro RL is dead in London, this will in no way be beneficial for the club.
Im pretty confident this club is dead
They have next to no sponsors, no home, have failed at a none-league football ground, all their best youngsters are leaving, there will be no nearby pro level academy within a 100 miles, they are signing journeymen and squad fillers.
If they have a place to play next year i wouldnt be surprised to see crowds of 4/500.
They are, and have been for a few years a club winding back and scaling back. Successive owners and lack of central planning and support has successfully destroyed RL in london over the past 5 or 6 years.

| ATEOTD if licencing still existed we would have no London bronco's at all because David Hughes would have walked away completely.IMO he wanted a way out of financing the club to the level he was doing.
Following the club & some fans on twitter it now seem like the club is knuckling down to do the hard yards whilst still having the opportunity to stay professional.
As with all clubs that make the right decisions on and of the field, good luck to them.

Hughes was (probably) well meaning, but so out of his depth it was frightening. His appointments of coaches and administrators displayed a naivety that you'd expect from a child....and his refusal to accept advice or a criticism was worthy of a 2 year old.

I can't see that being the case. If so why did London apply for a SL licence for 2012-14?
I don't think it's anything to do with licensing, it's all to do with mis-management.

| To those that claim London can "rebuild and come back stronger" after a spell out of SL......378 was the attendance at the Derby between the Skolars and Hemel this weekend. A good number of those fans will also be those that attend Broncos games.......the allure of Halifax or Featherstone (no disrespect meant) will hardly see London generate interest, crowds, sponsors or investors that will enable the club to re-build. Without an investor/benefactor, the club will decline further.......
...the next London team at the top table will be there AGAIN by invitation, once the RFL get bored with their new, new, new (is there another new in there) System.

| Thank goodness, like watching a lame horse it was painful watching that farce of a professional (sic) club. IF London is ever in a position to support a SL club we will see them back, if not then it is one to consign to the hisory books. Sorry to all you London die hards but the embarrasement to SL has gone on quite long enough.

...I take solace in the fact that the NRL has seen not to follow suit with a team in WA.

The allure of the likes of Wigan, St Helens, Warrington hardly generated much interest either.......

To be fair, we never finished bottom so the "London will never go down" theory was never put to the test. Mind you, it looks like we'll make sure of it this season!
The truth is though we don't deserve to stay up, the club has been appallingly mis-managed off the pitch for some time.
Personally I always though licencing was a bad idea, and I believe it has contributed toward our demise. The simple fact is that licencing meant we didn't have to try.
If you'd spent the last two seasons (like I have) turning up to watch a bunch of overpaid journeymen who couldn't care less give up after 20 minutes, you'd have seen through the myth of licencing and seen it for what it was.
What's really painful for me is that the youngsters we're playing this season play with real heart for the full 80. Yes they're out of their depth, but they show more commitment in one game that some "experienced professionals" showed in a whole season these past couple of years.

| Joe Grima "Out of the 31 players we've got contracted, 23 will be moving on whether they will be taking up opportunities at a Super League club or have been advised that they are not required at the Broncos next year."
So it looks like we might be jettisoning all those London youngsters for more Aussie journeymen next year?

| In a way I am sorry to see them go, but on the other hand, keeping them going at this level would be futile.
We had years of moaning about them having a larger overseas quota, more favour from the RFL etc..
Personally I would have been more open, as the lack of openess gave that impression were as it was never that way.
But comments like RL can't survive without London, (basically excusing any outcome) rubbed people up the wrong way.
I would hope they can return to the top when they have managed to do what everyone needs to do, which is cut their expenses.
If you rolled back 20 years putting the London club out their on their own would not have been my choice, but they did have some years where it looked like they may make a go of it.
With any relegation it's not going to be a pleasant experience for the fans or the club. But neither is it the end.

| I hope the London Broncos keep going and develop into a vibrant club. The priority as to be to find a permanent home and get a sense of identity. If that means dropping the name "London" and having a more localised name i.e "Leytonstone" or "Barnet" for example.

"Barnet" is not going to give the team much prospect of returning to Super League.

It's just as much chance as "London", if the club can build a proper identity to the area where they play, they will then hopefully develop as club, where people are proud to be identified to the club. No team as a right to promotion just like no team as a right not to be relegated. Promotion might not happen next season or the season after, it may never happen but it can still become a vibrant club.

Why ever not? AFAIK SL composition will be decided by results on the pitch. What the team's called is irrelevant.

| Sad day for the Broncos and hope they can build and come back the right way. TBH IMO they should have never been parachuted into SL when SL was formed and should have been made to earn their way in through natural growth and on field performances.

Agree with you there, I've never liked the 'London' moniker, it's a bit like Salford calling themselves 'Greater Manchester'.
