Clearly being driven towards football instead, what with Keiron Gibbs getting sent off for a handball committed by his teammate.

Between all the Super League clubs in 2011, 2,191,700 people turned up to every game combined.
In 2012 the figure was 1,743,040.
In 2013 the figure was 1,559,750.

I know that figures on their own aren't going to get me anywhere, but they prove that attendances are going down.

Where have you found those figures?

Are you really suggesting the average of SL clubs has gone from over 12k to under 9k? Me thinks you've made an error.

2011, Sky Sports.
2012, Love rugby league.
2013, Various super league clubs.

Yes the drops we've seen take place at London and Bradford over the years are due to their fans being fed up with the disciplinary committee. Salford fans were fed up with it too in 2013 but must be completely satisfied with it now I guess.

According to the RFL 2011 Annual Report aggregate attendance was 1.8m

18 months ago the Wigan board was full of disillusioned posters. Fed up of losing their best players, of a failing corrupt RFL & a lack of consistency among officials & judiciary. They largely disappeared last season, why do you think that is?

cos fans from other boards stopped going on there since it was ridiculously easy to get banned, and then they turned on themselves ......
