| How do you think it'll go? To me Australia don't look too slick but logically they should win. England targeeted the opening match and Australia seemed to treat it as a warm up, nevertheless they won. Yesterday NZ managed to hang on against us. I can see it being payback time for NZ after their victory last time and Australia winning by a relatively big margin. Against that the 'local' rivalry thing always plays a big part and NZ often play great against them. Should be intriguing. I suppose on balance I would expect Australia to win comfortably but I can also see it being a classic if NZ's forwards get on top.
It seems to me that NZ fell too easily forthe dummy runners yersterday and for the Tomkins move. I can see Australia exploiting that. Indeed, watching them yesterday they play a two line attack out wide when then put a move on and so have options inside and out and dummy runners galore. I see that as a training exercise for NZ and expect, IF it works, them to take NZ apart. Having said that Australia's handling has always looked as crisp as usual and if they make mistakes it could be close.
PS Who will you be supporting? Normally I shout like crazy for NZ against Australia. But I'm not so sure this time - after yesterday and also with the SBW pose factor? I could find myself supporting OZ for the first time (although I suspect not!).

| Kiwis have no chance unless they start picking players on form and not reputation and just picking players because they play for the "right" club (aka NZ Warriors).
Australia by a comfortable distance IMO.

| To be honest, i want australia to hammer those 2wats.
They did us in the last seconds, celebrating in front of our fans, on our turf like they'd won the cup (yes i know of course they are going to celebrate). But there were so many fine margins that were in our control, i think they were lucky to get through and would hate to seem them win the cup after coming through such luck and fine margins.
If westwood keeps his grip they wouldn't even be in this position.
I hope australia send them packing. I hope they smash them up and really put them to the sword. I hope isaac luke get's pumelled into the ground with the power of a 1000 angry gods.
If NZ beat aus it will make yesterdays defeat a 1000 times worse, because we won't just think about what might have been in terms of getting to the final, but actually winning the whole damn thing. If aus turn up and win, it was never on for us so we can get over it pretty fast.
I also hate the way that kiwi commentator halligan has been so casually dismissive of england throughout the tournament in some of the comments he's made, when yesterday they couldn't have come closer to being knocked out by us.

| Should be epic. Johnson/Luke/Foran, New Zealand have one hell of a spine. Then throw in SBW, Tuivasa-Sheck, this is the best NZ side i've ever seen.
But then Australia are Australia. They've not conceded a try since the opening game.
This one will be epic!

| Yeah fellas I'm sure the Aussies are gonna be humble in victory.
Why not lift LeagueFreak's 8 year rlfans ban and let him come back to share his views on international rugby league.
But hey we can't beat them so why not join em. I will be going in my Kangaroos jersey and sing Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport with the best of em.

If NZ win then at least we can say we got beat in the dying seconds by the World Cup Champions; makes our effort seem a lot better if NZ win the entire comp.

| If NZ win it will just make a farce of what was shaping up to be a great World Cup, like the last one.
We all know who the World Champions are really and that won't change if NZ win, any more than the "World Club Challenge" proves that a SL club is the 'best team in the world' LOL.

If Australia lose they'll just bring in more non-Australians. Considering their self-professed superiority it always amuses me that they'll pick anyone they can whatever their nationality.

| It's going to be an Aussie win I have no doubt. After the epic semi against England, the kiwis were physically battered by us. That will take it's toll on final day.
With the Aussie given a bye from Fiji, and quite fresh from the last few weeks training sessions, the kiwis have no chance in my opinion. But all the same, I do hope it's a game fitting for a final.

| Don't get this accusing NZ of arrogance.
The Aussies have been doing it for years and some of their media don't give a toss about international rugby league.
I'd rather NZ sock it to the Aussies and starve them of success across all sports.

| Having lived in NZ, and my brother living there since 1975 ,then it has to be the Kiwi's
When visiting and watching the 1 day cricket tournaments against the convicts my NZ friends have been quite surprised by my fervour for the Black Caps, plus having the best national anthem in the world as well ,always gives me goosebumps

| Australia lost the last one because they had too soft a draw and didn't man up in the big game.
They have had a very similar run this time. They are saying they have learnt their lesson and will be ready for a battle hardened Kiwi side, but who knows.

So it would only be a great world cup if Australia win the final?
Yes we do,its NZ,and if they defend their title then fair play to them.

Agree 100% with you Fully.
A fair few of the Kiwis have said on Twitter the best team lost and have been complimentary of our performance.
Whatever Flex saw from the players yesterday was probably done out of sheer relief. That said the match will have taken its toll on them and can see the likes of Inglis, Hayne and co running riot down the flanks of the Kiwi defence...so a Australia win by 12 I fear.
